[You have earned 50 EXP]
"What now?" Gray asked, sitting on the decapitated body of the old man he had just killed. On the old man's head just ahead of him, a void of life could be seen in the old man's eyes.
Gray's smile in this situation clearly disturbed even Realm. Despite just decapitating a man, he didn't bat an eye.
Did some sort of change happen with him after he developed a fever? Is he less human as a result of progressing in his abilities?
"With the Head Manager dead, it's likely they'll appoint someone from the other five."
Upon wondering how many XP he could earn from slaying the other five, Gray's eyes lit up. However, he shook his head.
"I don't think it's a good idea to stay here." Realm said.
According to Realm, the government would definitely conduct an investigation into what happened to one of the refugees. They could easily figure out what happened and who they were with all the cameras around.
Gray and Realm would be treated as criminals and barred from entering any refugee camp. Should they enter, they would be killed immediately.
"Or at least I think that'll be the case." said Realm.
A moment after hearing this, Gray appeared beside Realm and patted him on the back. "Don't be so tense, the government has bigger things to worry about than us." Said Gray with a smile.
I'm more concerned with what the old man said about Evolution Energy, was it? What is that?"
[Due to a lack of information, unable to answer the question.]
Gray clicked his tongue.
With a worried gaze, Realm asked, "What could possibly be bigger things to worry about?".
Gray's eyes widened as he looked up at the sky, not even bothering to explain as he did so. Gray pointed up, and upon turning his head. Realm's eye froze open as his jaws dropped.
"Oi… You're kidding me, right? Isn't this a little to soon?" Gray asked with a nervous smile.
Many meters up in the air, above the dome, a large portal could be seen opening up in the sky. There was something coming out, but they couldn't make out exactly what it was, but it seemed to be some kind of large fleet

Realm and Gray rushed back to the hospital after the discovery. Freya who saw her brother return safely, broke down into tears whilst rubbing her snot all over his uniform.
Things were still awkward between Gray and Aurora, but for just that one moment, they put it aside before hugging each other tightly.
Violet who was there, silently watched the four of them interact.
The interaction was cut short however as Gray, in a rush, spoke to realm.
"Are you really staying?" Gray asked.
"For now… I can't leave my mother on her own yet…"
Gray nodded, understanding what he meant.
Gray looked over at Violet and asked, "What about you?". "Are you coming with us?" Gray asked.
"Going where?" Aurora and Violet simultaneously asked.
Since the three had been inside of the hospital, they had not seen what was happening outside. Upon walking out, they were all shocked.
A quarter of a naval fleet could be seen slowly emerging from a portal in the sky. However, it wasn't just one. In the sky above the city, more and more portals were appearing.
"Anywhere away from here that's safe." Gray said.
Violet seemed a bit hesitant at first, but what other option would she have? Either she ran away with them and had a shot at survival or she'd stay which would potential lead to her death.
"If you won't mind having me... I'd like to join." She nodded.

There was a brief moment when the three could be seen rushing through the domes to reach their rooms after leaving the scene. At the time, Realm had stayed back with Freya and his mother who was still in the hospital.
Even though it was a shame that he could not join them, he had his own things to protect, so asking more of him would not have been fair.
"What's the plan?" Violet asked as they ran.
Then, Aurora replied, "I think we will go pick up two people, get our things ready, and leave.".
"And where do we go from here?" she asked.
"We will figure it out after we leave." Gray replied.
'Shit... Speaking of the kids, we never were able to locate their parents, did we?' Gray recalled.

- Outside the refugee camp.
"Hey... Josh... Are you seeing what I'm seeing or are you still experiencing the side effects?" Steve asked, his head turned upwards, looking up into the sky.
"Nope, you're definitely seeing that Steve." Josh replied
"Shit… Hold cover for me. I need to ring the alarm.

The three of them split up once they reached the dome where all the rooms were. Gray went straight towards towards his room with Aurora whilst Violet went towards hers.
They had agreed to meet up at the dorm entrance in ten minutes, giving Gray and Aurora enough time to get their things.
Gray and Aurora ended up splitting up upon reaching the door however, as he needed to get the two kids and make sure they were fine.
Aurora went inside of their room and began packing, whereas Gray quickly stopped by their dorm.
"Kylo, Lita! Open up!" Yelled out Gray as he knocked on the doors.
Despite that, there was no reply. Assuming that they were asleep, Gray paused the reinforced door before unleashing a barrage of punches on them.
[Unpause]
*CRASH!*
The door crashed open, the room lights automatically turned on. Gray's eyes widened as he walked inside. He checked all of the rooms just to make sure, but he couldn't find them.
It was completely empty.
