Han didn’t bother explaining his plan to Tao Long because he trusted Tao Long would realize it sooner or later. Tao Long was someone capable of uniting the entire underground, surely he wouldn’t be useless like that.
But for this girl, Han simply floated in the sky while watching her. She had parked her car inside the city and was currently using a payphone to call her father. Their conversation was filled with a lot of panicked sentences and begging from Dori, but after a while, she dropped the phone and entered the car while looking around to make sure that she wasn’t being followed.
She turned her car towards the east and Han immediately knew where she was going. There was only one airport on that side of the city and it was the only place where Hou Ren could be. Han took off towards the airport quickly!
…
The women in Han’s house were having fun while waiting for Han to return. Lily and Rina were in the kitchen together and Rin was helping Yue to braid her hair. Ping was looking through the collection of games that Rina had while trying to select which one they would play.
Then, all of a sudden, Yue perked up and looked towards the window of the house. There was something here! Something dangerous!
“Go inside!”
Rin Woo was shocked as Yue suddenly stood up and shouted this at her. What did she mean!? Why would they need to go inside?
Yue didn’t wait for Rin to ask her any questions. She grabbed her by the hand and pulled her to her feet. Run Woo’s eyes widened as she felt the power in Yue’s hands. This girl was strong! How did she just pull her like that!?
“Yue! Wait! What’s going on!?”
Yue didn’t answer her. She just continued to pull Rin Woo inside. When she got to where Ping was selecting games she also dragged her and began to pull her inside the house. The two women thought that Yue was just playing and wanted them to join her, so they played along as they allowed her to pull them, but what they didn’t know was that there really was a dangerous person waiting right outside the window!
Yue eyed the shadow in the balcony wearily and then made sure it wasn’t coming in yet before she continued to pull the two of them. It was only because she was used to feeling this pressure that she realized what was going on. She didn’t want them to get involved!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe got to the kitchen and she saw Rina standing over Lily and trying to get her to stand up. Lily had suddenly fallen on her backside at the exact same moment when Yue felt the pressure. Yue pushed Rin and Ping inside and the two women finally realized that this was no longer a joke! There really was something dangerous out there! They could now feel what it was and they couldn’t believe how much pressure it had. It was like a monster was in their house!
Yue now knew the person had entered the house already. She needed to get him out of here as quickly as possible!
Yue told them not to leave the kitchen, and the sight of a small girl commanding them would have been funny if her eyes weren’t so serious! This isn’t the fun-loving Yue they knew from before! Yue looked like she was going to kill them if they moved!
“Yue wait, Han told us to look after you!”
Rin Woo tried to reach out to her, but a hand landed on her own and stopped her. She looked back at Lily with a glare. What was this girl doing!? Did she want Yue to go out there alone!
“Stop! Trust her! If there’s anyone here that can handle this it’s her!”
Rin Woo furrowed her brow. What was Lily talking about?
Lily turned to look at Yue and saw the seriousness on her face. She still remembered the pressure she felt from the first time she met Yue and she was sure that only Han was stronger than this girl here!
She felt like a coward, but she knew that if any one of them were to fight Yue, then they would die. Whatever was outside was definitely as strong as Yue. They wouldn’t stand a chance!
Yue nodded to Lily before slowly closing the door while talking.
“I’ll come back later Mom. You haven’t finished braiding my hair yet!”
Yue closed the door and then her face changed into an impassive look. She moved back to the parlor of the house. And right there, sitting in the middle of the room, was Tyrian. The first chosen.
Tyrian turned around once Yue entered and he smiled at her.
“Hey sis, It’s been a long time. The last thing I heard about you was that you were following Regulus on his stupid journey to meet the creator. Now, what are you doing in this man’s house, and as his daughter no less?”
Yue frowned and looked away from him. From the corner of her eyes, she saw him reach down and pick up a photo from the table. It was a picture of when her father took her to the fair for the first time. What right did Tyrian have to touch that!?
“Drop it. That picture is precious to me. I thought you were rotting away on your throne. Why did you suddenly leave?”
Tyrian rose a brow at Yue before he dropped the picture back. He stood up and walked forward till the moonlight shone on his outfit. He was wearing a red cloak over a pair of black slacks and a blacktop. His red hair clashed brilliantly with his outfit. But Yue wasn’t impressed.
Father would look better in red.
Tyrian saw Yue frowning at him and he smiled.
“I’ve finally gotten the means to have my revenge, Yue. I was wondering where you were all this time because I knew for sure that the second strongest chosen would never die so easily”
Yue’s hand twitched as she had the sudden urge to stab it into Tyrian’s chest. She didn’t like being reminded of her past, but her brother could always do that without even trying!
“For fifty years we have been in that mansion together, and our hatred for the creator is still as strong as then. So why would you suddenly choose to leave now?”
Yue sighed before her appearance changed all of a sudden. Her eyes changed from their innocent look to an icy stare and she straightened up from her usual shy demeanor. The atmosphere also changed and Tyrian could now feel bloodlust coming from Yue. He smiled.
“Tell me what you want Tyrian. I’m not in the mood for your games today”
Yue was still talking in a monotone voice, but her transformation showed Tyrian that she was now serious. She would fight him if he didn’t give her what she wanted. So Tyrian decided to talk.
“I want to destroy the chosen once and for all. We both know the fate of this planet, so why wouldn’t we seek to destroy the one being that could lead to our destruction?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmYue didn’t see the sense in what Tyrian was saying. So you want to destroy the chosen to prevent our destruction? Don’t make me laugh.
“I can see the truth in your eyes, Tyrian. You’ve sold your soul to REACH, haven’t you? You’re nothing but a dog now. Don’t tell me shit about saving this planet, all you want is your retribution”
A feeling of anger rose in Tyrian like a tidal wave and lightning began to spark over his body. So what if he sold himself to REACH!? The creator abandoned him to nothing first! He had every right!
“You don’t get to tell me that Yue! You’ve had the opportunity to kill that chosen for months now! But instead, you’ve done nothing but call him father! You might still look like a child, Yue, but that doesn’t give you the right to act like one!”
Yue tilted her head to the side in confusion. She was a child so why would it be wrong to act like it. Even though she hasn’t aged since she got her powers, that doesn’t mean she was any less of a child. This was what she chose to be and Han was who she chose to be with. She chose the side she would be fighting on already and there was nothing Tyrian could do about it.
“I won’t come with you Tyrian. Leave. We both know you can’t defeat me easily. Mutual destruction is all we’ll achieve. We’ve had this fight hundreds of times and it always ends in the same way!”
Tyrian laughed loudly at that and the lightning sparking off his body increased in intensity. Yue took a step back as he looked at her with madness in his eyes. She could see that there was something wrong here. He never had such lightning before!
