Han already said goodbye to all the girls earlier. He and Yuuma gave the orbs for the systems to Kim and Rina for them to absorb. He was afraid that it would cause them pain and he was ready to cast renewal on them immediately, but the two simply fainted after taking it. Han left them in Yuuma’s care after using Renewal to make sure no harm was done to their body. Hopefully, by the time they wake up, they will have their systems.
Rin, Yue, and Lily began to go on floor clearing quests with members from both the Trinata and Rivera guilds. Leona, Poloma, and Fey welcomed the three of them happily, so Han didn’t have to worry about them running into any trouble, and even if they did, his Shadow hunter was more than ready to defend them.
Han made sure Yuuma knew her part of the plan perfectly and that she was prepared to take action at the right moment. She had to find a Celestial that would allow him to carry out the plan. Han already knew that the only person she could ask for that sort of permission was Dyana, but Yuuma told him that she didn’t want to involve her friend in this so Han just told her that he would leave it in her hands. He would send her a signal through his Shadow hunter when he needed her to make her move.
Han sighed. He hoped he wasn’t missing anything.
A hand smacked Han on the back and he turned around to see Gregory looking forward. Gregory seemed nervous to say something to Han, but he forced himself to talk. He couldn’t keep being so antisocial.
“Uh… I-It’s going to be okay, Han. You don’t need to worry. Seriously, you being worried like this is fucking scary. Is it really that dangerous up there?”
Han smiled. Gregory wasn’t used to comforting people, so him just trying something like this was big for Han. Han ruffled Gregory’s hair affectionately! Gregory was right! He had to stop being so worried for nothing! He laughed at the shout Gregory released while still ruining his hair.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHan decided he wouldn’t be worried anymore. He was going to take this bull by the horns and fuck it.
“Let’s go to the higher floors, Gregory”
“Fuck! What the hell is wrong with you!? Don’t just fucking touch my hair like that!! See if I try to comfort you again!!”
Han snorted. He could remember quite clearly how Gregory was smiling like an idiot when Cersai touched his hair. Gregory tsked as Han reminded him of it and then he mumbled.
“Well, she’s a beautiful girl. Not an old man like you”
Han felt his eye twitch! Han wrapped his hand around the back of Gregory’s neck and brought his head down as he began to ruffle his hair with force! Who’s an old man, huh!?
It didn’t take long for the two of them to begin laughing at their actions and Han looked back at the portal. It was time to go.
….
Han and Gregory walked through the portal and the first thing they saw was a white void. Han wasn’t so surprised. Was this what Paravell spoke about before? He said there was some sort of interface that we would encounter before we go to the higher floor, so this must be it. Well, either that or we’re meeting up with Dorea.
Gregory was completely confused since he didn’t know that this was supposed to happen. This wasn’t the first time he entered a void, but he has never been in such a bright one before. He waited to see what would happen next and he took a step back when a tab suddenly opened in front of him.
Han saw his tab but when he looked to the side, he didn’t see anything in front of Gregory. That look on Gregory’s face shows that something appeared in front of him, it’s just that I can’t see it. Maybe it’s only specific to one person?
[Host has successfully crossed the halfway point]
[Host will now be assigned a class. If the host passes the test and manages to cross into floor fifty-one, the Host will be given a specific Class Job. Your class is not changeable and will be permanent forever, please choose wisely]
Gregory rose a brow. That’s interesting. So there was still one more choice to be made after this class? He had to choose a job when they get to floor fifty-one? Well, ‘if’ they get to floor fifty-one, according to the system. He looked towards Han and saw that Han was not surprised at all. Did Han already know about all this? What in the world does this man not know? Sometimes you scare me with how calm you always are.
Gregory selected okay and then a new tab opened with seven classes.
[Swordsman – Your mastery over the sword is absolute. All future skills gained will be centered around the sword skill and you will be stronger with a sword in your hand. Host will be granted a ×2 growth boost in strength and stamina. Gains a ×5 Boost in growth to all sword-based skills.]
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm[Spearman – Agile and Fast with no equal in the art of wielding the polearm. Host will gain an immediate ×2 growth boost in agility and Stamina and all future skills will be centered around the spear. Gains a ×5 boost in all spear-based skills]
[Archer – The lord of long distant fighting. With eyes like a hawk and muscles of metal! The host will be granted a ×2 growth boost in Agility and Strength. All future skills will be centered around Archery and Agility. The host will immediately gain the active skill [Almighty Overseer]. Gain a ×5 growth boost in all archery-based skills]
[Mage – The lord of the battlefield who grants destruction upon all. Host will gain a new tab [Mana Pool] that will be exactly twice as large as your [Stamina] and all future skills will be centered around the concept of magic. The class grants a higher chance of finding artifacts that would boost your mana and stamina. The host will gain a ×5 growth boost to all wide-area attack skills.]
[Nightwalker – The dweller of the night. Nightwalkers will always gain a ×10 temporary boost to all stats when hiding in the shadows. A ×2 boost will be given to Agility and Stamina. The host will gain a ×5 boost to all assassin-based skills and shadow skills.]
[Tank – Able to withstand damage beyond that of any mere mortal. The host will be granted defensive boosts and all future skills will be centered around defense. Host will gain a ×5 growth boost to all defensive-based skills.]
[Journeyman – Free to roam as he pleases. A journeyman can never be trapped in one class. The host will gain the ability to gain skills from all the above classes but will only be granted a ×2 boost to all skills gained. The host will also gain the ability to move across floors without the use of a portal. So long we a host has been to a floor before, they only need to think about it and they will be transported there.]
Woah. Gregory was completely stunned. Talk about a cheat sheet. This was completely rigged! If he chose any of these then he would become way too strong! But that was normal on these top floors, wasn’t it? No wonder they were always saying that the people up here were far too strong. If anyone had any of these classes for longer than a year, then they would probably become stronger than even Han!
Han hummed while looking through the options. He already knew which one he would choose, there was no other class that would grant him what he wanted other than the [Mage] class. He knows it seemed like it was weak, but all the other classes were too centered. The first three classes required a weapon before you could do anything. Han wasn’t against weapons, but they just weren’t his thing.
What happens if you lose your weapon in the middle of a fight? You suddenly become defenseless? That would be stupid. The last three were all built around one thing. Defense, assassination, or freedom. The only one there that could probably also give him what he wanted was the journeyman skill, but the flaw with that skill was the reduced boost. Han knew that the concept of freedom seemed very attractive, but he wouldn’t fall for such a silly trick. If he was only getting a ×2 boost to all his skill. Then even if he was getting all the skills in the world he would still be behind the other classes since they would be growing five times faster while he will only be growing two times faster.
No. That was stupid. Han looked down at Gregory and saw that he had a look of complete concentration on his face. He was trying to figure out which skill would be best for him. For someone like Gregory, Han knew that the best skills were either [Journeyman] or [Nightwalker]. With how many weapons Gregory could make with his Shadow then the [Journeyman] skill will probably suit him perfectly. He wouldn’t have to worry about sticking to one weapon. But that reduction in the boost was still the most annoying thing there. The nightwalker skill will probably do more for Gregory. It never said anything about weapons, but the shadow boost was perfect for him.
