Picking Up Beautiful Girls In The Post-Apocalyptic World!

The members of white rose were all cleaning the cave at different spots and no one even notice the king hiding in the shadows. But it was a single woman that noticed it first! She was cleaning behind the alter while grumbling about why they have to do something like this every month! She is a gold star so shouldn’t she be planning on how to go to higher floors!? She didn’t come to this guild to be a glorified caretaker!! But then she saw a glint shine in the shadow.

She looked up in shock to see a sword right in front of her! She almost jumped back with a shout but a hand grabbed her by the mouth with extreme power and ran her through with the sword in one go! She was dead before she even hit the floor!

The sound of her hitting the floor drew all the attention in the cave towards Ratte and he looked up at all of them with a glare. The leader of the white rose guild immediately recognized that he couldn’t feel any power coming from Ratte, just like he couldn’t feel any power coming from Han, and he was about to tell everyone to run but it was already too late.

Ratte didn’t know who the people in the cave were and he also had no idea that the leader of the white rose guild was one of them. He just knew that he couldn’t let them escape to report to Han. He will have to find another place to hide once he is done here, but killing them will give him more time!

Darkness surrounded the entire cave as Ratte used a nightwalker skill and then Ratte began his purge! Not a single person escaped that day!

Ratte was a coward and he was terrified of Han. But even a coward King is still a king. No one but a king stood a chance against another king!

Han and Gregory managed to get the badges from Risque without a problem. Risque asked Han if he would be willing to come back another time since he was now a part of their guild and Han told her a straight ‘No’. There really wasn’t any point in him coming back here. He will probably never even see any of them again after today. Why should he be bothered to come back?

Gregory shook his head at Risque. She should stop trying to make Han fall for her like this. He has eight wives, two of who are Celestials!! What the hell hasn’t he seen in a woman’s body!? He has seen it all! If she wanted to get into Han’s heart she should have tried some other means instead of just get body. Maybe attract him with your intelligence? I have no idea what exactly Han is attracted to nowadays so I can’t really tell. I can understand him accepting Yana because it was his duty, but he said he rejected Freya even though she was that beautiful.

Gregory was still a bit slow with his emotions so he didn’t see any reason for Han to refuse a beautiful woman like Freya if it was just sex. He has no idea how much Han hated women who feel entitled because they had beautiful bodies.

The two of them left the guild and went back to the portal after Rau and Grey promised they would stay for some time when Risque asked them to. Han asked Risque why they couldn’t use the second portal that they just released but Risque told them that it would take a few days for them to inform the city soldiers that they have killed the Kraken and finalize the rewards and everything else. She wanted Han to stay until they finalize the rewards but he just told her that Rau and Grey could have it all. He didn’t have any need for money since he had too much of it already and Gregory was terrible at handling money.

Rau wanted to come with Han and he even asked him if he and his sister could go with them. The boy idolized Han and he wanted to stay with him even more!

“No.”

Han didn’t even finish listening to what Rau had to say before he refused him and turned around to walk away.

Rau’s face was stuck in an expression of shock as he stared at Han! I didn’t even finish asking! He didn’t even let me say anything!

Han didn’t need the extra baggage on him when traveling. He might sympathize with Rau and Grey, but those two won’t survive for even a minute in the world Han and Gregory belonged to. It would be too dangerous to take those children into the territory of a king! So he hoped Rau and Grey would just stay here for some time before they run away like they planned to.

“You’re really mean sometimes you know. You could have just told him that you didn’t want them getting hurt and he wouldn’t follow us,”

Han rolled his eyes. Yeah right. Someone like Rau would just follow me from behind no matter what I say to him. It’s better to just end it like this. Han and Gregory arrived back at the portal again and the guard there almost dropped his spear in shock when he saw Han again!

Han showed them the guild badge that he got and then he told them to open the portal. The guards didn’t waste any time as they immediately opened the portal and allowed Han to go through. Han was a bit surprised. Where did all that bravado from before go to? I thought this man wasn’t afraid of me at all. Strange.

Back in the adventurers guild, Risque received a call once Han. It was from her superior. She wasn’t used to getting called at all so she was surprised as she picked it up.

[Risque! Is he still there!?]

Risque rose a brow as her superior suddenly shouted this at her. She wondered who he was talking about. Was there someone important coming to the floor today?

On the other side of the call, the superior was pacing frantically!

[I just got a message from a spy that King Han was moving through the floors! He should be on floor sixty-one right now so did you see any black stars on that floor recently!? You must talk to him if you see him! We need to get on his good side as quickly as possible! We might not get a chance like this again!]

Risque slammed her hand on the table and stood up in shock! What did this man just say!? King Han is on the floor!? But if it is a black star, then the only one she has seen since the beginning is that cloaked man! She was trying to flirt with King Han!? Risque felt her soul leaving her body as she fell back in the chair. No wonder he wasn’t moved by what she did! He must’ve thought she was a loose woman!

She has to help her superior before Han can go too far!

“I saw someone here but he already left! I don’t think we can find him on this floor again! Send a message to floor sixty-three if you want to have a meeting with him! He should be getting there right now!”

The superior clicked his tongue. Floor Sixty-three is still having a tense atmosphere because of that civil unrest. He can’t just tell them someone like King Han is coming there. It will cause a mass panic! He has to find a way to salvage this! The superior quickly thanked her before he cut the line and scurried off! Risque groaned once the call was cut off. She had no idea that man was a King! She would’ve treated him with more respect! But wait, she registered him as one of her adventurers when she gave him that guild badge! She registered a king as one of her adventurers! Risque felt a lot of pride as she thought about it. She might never see Han again, but no matter what she can always brag that a king is an adventurer in her guild!

Risque groaned again as she remembered that Han was hiding his identity for a reason. He’ll probably kill me if I tell anyone about that!

Han wouldn’t have killed her and he wouldn’t even mind if she told people about it, but Risque didn’t know that and so she never said a word.

Han and Gregory finally arrived at the sixty-third floor and they landed on a long Chinese styled bridge. The bridge was very wide and there were a lot of people moving along it. Some merchants and sellers were trying to sell to the many people there and some soldiers were also moving around.

Han nodded to Gregory and they both began to walk into the floor. It seems that Rau was right when he said this floor was a peaceful one. Han couldn’t see a single person that was tense here. They all seem so relaxed!

It is usually possible to get the most information about a place just by walking along the street and so Han kept his ears sharp as he listened to what the people around him were saying. There wasn’t much to get from most of them, but one conversation caught his attention quickly.

“I heard someone say that something is wrong in the palace. They said something about the king going missing,”

“Stop saying things like that. We haven’t stopped receiving the support that we get so why won’t the king be there? You are just imagining things!”

“No! Just listen! He said that no one has seen the king for almost a week now! Don’t you think it’s suspicious at all! He never leaves for that long!”

“Hey, you better keep quiet about this. Just pack in two Radishes for me and stop gossipping about things you don’t know about – !!!”

The person that was talking suddenly stopped talking once he felt a shadow cover his body! He turned around in shock and he almost shit himself when he saw a cloaked man standing there! Is this a Nightwalker assassin!?

Han rolled his eyes. I’m not that scary, am I?
