Protagonist's Evil System: My Girlfriend Turned Into A Dragon
Chapter 63 Whispers In The SnowSmooth and white powdery snow was trapping them inside again, with no way or hope of coming out and helping his team to escape, Lucas's heart rate had increased immediately.
The heavy and thick breathing through his lungs was making his vision blurry, *ooh* *aah* *ooh* *aah* he was inhaling and exhaling the air out of his body.
The eyes that were strong red were slowly losing their colour, fading away with every little oxygen he had left.
The bright, blue sky was no longer seen, and the roof made of virgin snow for the last time reminded them of having no exit.
"This can't be!" Xina gritted her teeth as she punched the wall made of furry snow, "we have to find a way out of here!" She punched the snow again.
The snow fastly was turning into white crystals, leaving no snowflakes behind and trapping every single water drop inside of it, 'I must think, we have to escape!' Lucas's inner thoughts were wandering inside his head right now.
"Spirit, return," Haya ordered the small, and cute avatar to go back where it came from.
His eyelids dropped down, "Haya, we must think of something fast!" Kalaini spoke while walking in a little circle.
"Stop biting your lips!" Haya gave an order while pulling something out of his backpack, "if you're thinking about another spirit, don't bother...it won't work..." Xina blinked her eyes, pushing back her arrow.
"Do we really have no hope now?" The lost voice came out of Kali, this was her first time being in a situation like this, so she felt the most useless here.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt'This cannot be...' Lucas bit his thumb, 'what if Izek...?' He opened his eyes widely.
"That's it!" He shouted and everyone turned to him, "what are you being excited here about?" Kalaini lifted one of her eyebrows.
"The system!" He added to his statement, "the system should help!" Lucas glanced at Haya.
This was a moment where they needed to make fast decisions, no holding back was allowed, "the system won't help," replied Xina while touching the icy wall made of snow.
"It won't?" Kali's voice began to tremble, and water began to fill her eyes, 'she's gonna cry...' Lucas thought while folding his fists.
"And why is it that?" He replied to Xina's sentence.
The white roof got small, making Haya and Xina lean their heads down, 'this won't do!'
"Sy-system, appear!" Lucas shouted in a trembling voice.
The icy atmosphere made his feet feel numb, and his body began to feel cold shivers running through Lucas's skin since the atmosphere was made of cold snow.
The water that was frozen was stealing all their oxygen, it was becoming harder for them to talk, "I told you to appear!" Lucas shouted again, still trying to save some oxygen, he inhaled more air.
[System Activated]
[Sigh, what is this situation?]
It asked in a tired tone.
"I don't know if you haven't noticed that yet, but we're about to die here, do something!" Lucas leaned down, placing his hands on his knees he sighed too, 'this damn system!' He furrowed his eyebrows.
[And this is my problem because...?]
It took a long pause, then spoke again,
[I don't know why you think so, but I'm not your slave, idiot!]
The system shouted as if it was shouting at him, "do you always have to have this attitude?" He murmured, "listen, I don't care! You were assigned to me, and your job here is to obey me from time to time, so take us out of this situation!" Lucas raised his voice.
Talking louder and harsher with the system that was not giving a single fuck about him and his teammates' situation right now was making his blood boil, 'this son of a bitch system,' he bit his cheek.
[Listen here, you know what to do already, I'm tired... Yaaaww]
The system yawned, it sounded like a real human.
This thing was very suspicious to Lucas from the very beginning, 'why does it sound like a human is trapped inside this robot?' He thought then leaned his back straight, "you're right, I know what I should do!"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLucas put his hand inside his dark pants and began to look for something with his fingers, he touched a pill, 'Izek...' An unpleasant memory ran through his mind just thinking about it, 'I can't, I won't ask for his help!' He squeezed his eyes.
He already had thought about taking the pill before and allowing Izek to take over this situation, but now the system confirming it with him made his decision more doubtful, 'no, I must think of something!'
While he was lost in his deep thoughts and was fighting his inner self for the decision he was going to make, the white crystal wall was pushed closer to them, "soon there will be no space for us!" Kalaini spoke when joining Xina in a punching battle.
Both of them were kicking and pulling the snow out of it, hoping it would somehow be helpful.
While Haya was still searching for anything helpful in his backpack, Lucas looked at Kali whose face was as red as a tomato right now, "that's it!" His eyeballs looked like they were about to fall out of his eyes.
"System, upgrade Kali's energy!" He knew that the system had this kind of power, and couldn't refuse.
[I'm so tired, can't be asked right now]
Lucas froze for a second, "what do you mean you can't?"
[Ask me tomorrow, I'm kinda busy right now]
"Busy of doing what?" Lucas frowned his forehead, 'why is it talking to me this way?'
[You're really an annoying brat, you know that?]
The system didn't hold itself back either while talking to Lucas.
"I don't know why you're such a bitchy system, but I'm asking you to upgrade Kali's skills!" With his last sentence, the icy roof that was holding them from being crushed fell down on the ground.
