Book 13: Chapter 24: The Secondd
“Dad… Dad come back…”
The words were as soft as the flap of a butterfly’s wings, but Dyon still heard it. They alone were enough to drop a bucket of cold water over his rage. A pain that could tear his heart apart pierced his chest, making him feel as though it was difficult to breathe for a moment.
For his little girl, he couldn’t allow such thoughts and emotions to rule him anymore.
He had no intention of letting those who did this to his daughter go, but at the same time, falling into such depravity couldn’t be allowed.
Taking a deep breath, Dyon’s soul qi surged. In a moment, his golden arrays began to dance within the room, floating about like little fireflies.
Soon, a Lower God Grade pill manifested from thin air. Without hesitation, he allowed his daughter to eat it. Despite its size, it dissolved
the moment it hit her lips, sliding down her throat without issue.
Just what kind of effect would a God grade pill have on a mortal? The answer was obvious. The only issue is that one didn’t need to just consider Alauna’s body, but also needed to consider the kind of attacks she had been subject to.
Void qi was a Supreme Law that stood atop all of existence. Dispelling it wasn’t an easy matter. In addition to this, despite being sealed by the Heavens, the void beasts that had attacked his daughter were still immortals. Their quality of attacks was on another level.
However… Dyon didn’t care. Before him, anything that sought to harm his daughter would crumble. He didn’t care who or what it was. Since he had fed this pill to his daughter, the matter was already sealed.
As expected, barely a moment later, Little Alauna’s cheeks began to regain their color.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEven though her wounds were bandaged closed with special star grade materials, Dyon could still tell that they were rapidly closing as well, dispelling all the dark void qi that had invaded her body and purifying her to a great extent.
In fact, despite it being a healing pill, it was still of the god grade. Even with this being considered, Alauna’s strength was advancing by leaps and bounds.
The truth of the matter was that ingesting a god grade pill wasn’t just about how great it was, it was also related to whether or not one could take the energy fluctuations without imploding. Yet, Dyon didn’t seem to worry about this possibility at all, and the facts proved him right…
Little Alauna’s eyes fluttered. Without even taking a pause, her qi surged, an all out attack blasting toward the ceiling.
It was clear she thought she was still on a battlefield. The moment she regained her
consciousness, she subconsciously retaliated with all her might.
Yet, nothing happened. A full force strike from a woman who could destroy a planet with the flick of finger looked no different from a speck of dust falling into the ocean. Let alone causing any destruction, the ceiling above her head didn’t even have the slightest ripple.
For a moment, Alauna’s expression became ghastly pale. Had she been crippled? That was the only explanation right? Someone must have captured her and ruptured all her meridians. Was it that Sapientia Emperor bastard?
But wait, that didn’t make much sense either. Even if her meridians were destroyed, she was still an Overlord in body. The air pressure from her strike alone would probably be able to destroy a planet as well. So what the hell was this ceiling made out of?
Could it be that someone had drugged her as well? But she didn’t feel drugged… Was there a way to cripple body cultivation as well? Why had she never heard of such a method?
Little Alauna’s thoughts spun wildly and quickly, likely a habit she had gotten from her father. Instead of despairing, she immediately tried to understand her situation and find a potential solution to it. Only in this way would she be able to live up to her father’s expectations and the expectations she had for herself.
“Little girl, aren’t you going to greet your father?”
Little Alauna froze, not daring to turn her head. She recognized this voice immediately. She had heard it too often in her dreams and had thought about it too often even when she was awake. Cultivators like her didn’t even need sleep, yet she purposely slept anyway, hoping to
catch another glimpse of her father for a blissful few moments.
In that moment, Little Alauna ‘understood’ what was happening. The reason for her lack of cultivation and strength, this must be an illusion. It was the only explanation. She shouldn’t look over. If she saw her father now, she didn’t know if she could extricate herself from the illusion safely. She missed him too much…
It was simply impossible for her father to be here. Descending from the Immortal Plane to the Mortal was a strict taboo the Heavens defended vehemently against. Even though she knew The Entity had broken this taboo, it had been a peak existence on the Immortal Plane for a long while. Even with how talented her father was, it would take millions of years for him to reach that point and come back to them. It hadn’t even been a fraction of that time yet.
Alauna steeled her heart. ‘Don’t look, just attack, just attack.’
Gritting her teeth, she launched a full powered strike toward the voice, not holding back at all. She needed to get out of this illusion as quickly as possible.
No matter how she thought about it, that was the only thing this world could be. How else could she have gone from feeling pain on every inch of her body to suddenly feeling better than she ever had in her life.
However, she could have never expected for her hand formed into a blade to be stopped before her attack could even land.
Her eyes were closed tightly, unwilling to look at the scene before her when she suddenly felt a light ‘bop’ on her forehead. It felt as though someone had lightly smacked her head with a palm.
“Silly girl, is this how you treat your father? They say children are supposed to grow up and fly off on their own, but is there a need to kill me first?”
Alauna’s eyelashes trembled. Her eyes were still closed, but for a long while, she still didn’t dare to open them.
In the end, she couldn’t hold back any longer. She slowly raised her eyelids, blinding lights flooding her vision.
The first thing she saw was a broad chest. Even without raising her head anymore, tears flowed down her cheeks.
She didn’t need to see any more. Even if this was an illusion, she simply didn’t care anymore, diving into Dyon’s arms and wailing like a little baby.
Dyon smiled and shook his head, wrapping his arms around his little girl.
“Look at you, you’re already a few hundred years old, yet you’re still so spoiled.” magic
Little Alauna didn’t answer, holding onto her father tighter and tighter as though she thought he might disappear again.
Outside the room, Dyon’s wives had already made their way back. But, after smiling amongst themselves, they decided not to interfere.
Though they had regained their memories, the truth was that the first of Dyon’s wives, like Ri and Clara, knew the least about the others. After all, they had died long before the rest came into Dyon’s life. They had a lot to learn about one another and were eager to do so.
However, there was too much danger right now. And… there was still a very obvious elephant in the room. One of them, the one they all saw as their big sister now, was not here.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmExchanging a single glance, they all knew what the other was thinking. A flash of determination crossed their ethereal visages. They wouldn’t allow anything to stop them from truly bringing their family back together. After all this was over, there would be many years ahead for them to enjoy.
It was then that everything suddenly changed.
As though to affirm their thoughts, the world suddenly came to a grinding halt. It wasn’t just the air that seemed to solidify, but their blood flowed slower, their thoughts lost momentum, and their knees felt weak.
They all knew that it was a powerful enemy. But it was simply too silent. How could such an existence appear without a single sound?
Dyon’s gaze narrowed. Patting his daughter’s back one more time, he slowly walked out. In a moment, he appeared at the top of the palace steps, looking off into the distance.
Soul Rend Planet had fallen into complete darkness. It felt as though an eclipse had just appeared, but it only took a look into the sky to realize that this wasn’t the case.
It wasn’t a moon overshadowing the sun… it was a massive body several times the size of a planet. It simply stood there silently, having appeared without a sound. Not even the wind shifted in this massive giant’s presence. It was impossible to imagine how something so massive could move so silently…
At that moment, the massive body began to shrink. It began slowly, but soon, it became so rapid that in one instant, it was the size of several million kilometers, and in the next, it was a petite woman of not even 5’10.
This woman was absolutely gorgeous, like a painting carved of the moonlight.
She was completely naked, but Dyon could tell that with this woman’s pride, he was the only
one who could see this scene. Even his wives who had followed behind him could likely only see a sheet of white, maybe even her appearance was obscured to them. This woman had always been like this. The only two people she respected was their master and him, no one else was worth her regard.
Her figure was absolutely tantalizing. Two massive mounds of flesh adorned her chest, dropping with just the right amount of elasticity. Her hips were wide and gave one the urge to grip them firmly in one’s grasp, never letting her go. Her legs were long and slender, reflecting the sunlight as though her body itself was carved of gems.
Long, flowing black hair reached past even her delicate feet, gently waving in the air like the vibrating strings of a hypnotic harp. Her golden eyes shone like two moons, revealing an enchanting, mischievous glint.
There was clear excitement in her gaze as she looked toward Dyon. In fact, the excitement was no less than the feeling Dyon’s daughter or wives had had upon seeing him for the first time in such a long time.
“First Brother!”
The delicate call of the woman warmed the hearts of all who heard her. Even the women behind Dyon who had initially had hostile intentions couldn’t help but soften their stances.
However, Dyon’s voice was cold and detached, without a hint of emotion. He greeted the woman’s warmth with nothing but callousness.
“Aritzia.”
