Chapter 464 Argus Is a Good Person

Before Argus could say anything, the photographer said, "Sir, I didn't invite you. Please don't cause trouble."

Jaylon looked at the photographer with his dark and calm eyes. "I'll shoot for free. I don't need any reward."

The photographer glanced at Jaylon.

Jaylon was handsome, but he was not the type the photographer wanted.

The photographer replied, "No need. Please step aside."

Jaylon continued, "How much are your photos? I'll buy them. Take photos of me."

Jaylon refused to give in. The photographer was a little annoyed. "This is art! You're humiliating me by giving me

money!"

The photographer's reaction was beyond Jaylon's expectations.

The word "humiliation" reminded Jaylon of what Reina said at the engagement banquet.

Jaylon was born in a high position and was used to using the wealth and power he had in his hands to make people

weaker than him.

Jaylon used to be surrounded by people who flattered him. He never felt that there was any problem with his way of

living, and it was natural for him to suppress everything.

It was not until something happened to Reina that Jaylon realized how hurtful the way he was used to was.

When they met for the first time, Reina was confident and shining. But Jaylon dug out her inferior and timid side,

allowing those emotions to spread rapidly like cancer cells in her heart. They nibbled away at the light in her eyes

and finally forced her to the corner.

After their reunion, Jaylon promised Reina that he would change, but sometimes, he habitually used the money to

pressure people.

Jaylon fell silent. His voice was tense and a little low. "Sorry."

Hearing his apology, everyone present was stunned.

After all, Jaylon had always been proud. He was used to being overbearing. It was truly unprecedented for him to

bow down so easily to others.

The photographer did not know Jaylon's personality. Just now, he felt that Jaylon was frightening, like a suited thug

who would kill others at any time in a gang movie.

Jaylon apologized, and the photographer only thought that he was wrong and became more confident. He

continued to chase Jaylon away. "Go away. Don't delay my work."

Jaylon turned around and looked at Reina. "Do you want to take photos with Argus or me?"

Reina recovered from her shock and said lightly, "I agree with the photographer."

Jaylon's lips were pursed, and he was unhappy.

Just as Reina thought that Jaylon would forcefully replace Argus as before,

Jaylon took a step forward and walked away.

Reina was a little stunned and gave Jaylon a few looks.

Only when Argus leaned over and repeated the previous question in her ear

did Reina take back her gaze and say, "Yes."

After getting permission, Argus raised his hand to hold her waist.

Almost the moment when Argus touched Reina, a cold gaze fell on his hand.

Argus did not care. His attention was all on Reina, and he was extremely

nervous.

The photographer saw Argus' stiffness and said, "Argus, relax. Isn't Reina your girlfriend? Think about how you used

to feel when you were intimate. Just pretend that the camera and I don't exist."

Although the photographer said so, Argus and Reina had never been intimate. Argus couldn't imagine what the

photographer wanted him to do.

Seeing Argus like this, Reina whispered in his ear, "Just treat me like Sally.

Be natural. Just take it as a family photo."

Argus was shocked.

Argus tried to imagine Reina as his mother.

He just took photos.

During the entire process of them taking photos, Jaylon sat not far away and watched them quietly. There was no

expression on his handsome face. He was quiet and calm, making it impossible to guess what he was

thinking.

The shooting lasted for about an hour. The photographer said that he would invite Argus and Reina to take a few

more photos after boarding the island.

Of course, the reward would be raised.

Just from the generous reward, it could be seen that the photographer was

not short of money.

The photographer loved photography, and Jaylon's presumptuous behavior

was annoying.

After boarding the island, the photographer left with Argus and Reina to take photos. At dusk, he returned to the

beach and took a few more sets.

Reina and Argus had been following the photographer all day. The others had gone to the sea to catch fish and

gained a lot.

On the way back, only those few who left the team and Jaylon's people

were empty-handed.

After getting off the boat, Ruby gave some fish to Reina and Argus.

Reina did not like to eat fish, so she did not accept it.

The photographer asked Reina if she wanted the final product. Reina said

no. She received the reward and left first.

Argus and the photographer friended each other. Argus asked the latter to

send a copy of the final product to him.

After things were done, Argus wanted to chase after Reina. But when he turned around, he found that Reina had

disappeared.

Reina left so quickly to avoid Jaylon.

However, she forgot that Jaylon had a car. No matter how fast she walked,

she was caught up.

In the afternoon, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. Only half of the sun was hanging at the end of the

sea.

The afterglow was warm orange. Jaylon got out of the car, and his figure

was outlined. He was tall and straight, appearing to be quiet and cold.

Jaylon bent down to open the car door for Reina. "I will send you back." Reina refused without hesitation. "No need."

Jaylon looked at Reina deeply, and his voice was hoarse. "Reina, I shouldn't have made you angry today. Why do you

always reject my good intentions?"

Reina said, "Your existence is the reason why I am angry."

Jaylon pursed his thin lips tightly and said slowly, "If you are dissatisfied

with me, I will try my best to change myself.

"At least you should give me a chance."

Reina's expression was indifferent. Her eyes were distant. "I have no

obligation to give you a chance."

Reina was so stubborn. Jaylon softened his voice. "Reina, it was my fault. I

am willing to marry you. Let's start over, okay?

"That Argus guy is not worthy of you. Why are you wasting your time on

him?"

"Argus is a very good person. You have no right to judge him," Reina said in

a serious tone.

She did not like the expression and the tone Jaylon used when he belittled

others.

Reina and Argus had the same status. When Jaylon talked about Argus, Jaylon would hurt Reina's pride and make

her feel uncomfortable.

Jaylon knew that Reina refused to accept him partly because of the difference in status between them.

In the past, because of the difference in status between them, Reina was

bullied and humiliated by the people around Jaylon. She suffered a lot.

Jaylon's slightly arrogant tone just now undoubtedly annoyed Reina.

"I didn't mean to belittle him."

Reina was noncommittal to Jaylon's explanation.

Reina was ready to leave, but Jaylon grabbed her hand. "Reina, leave Argus.

He is not someone you can entrust to.

"The engagement between Nadia and I has been annulled. As long as you go back, you will be my wife. I will not let

anyone bully you again."
