Chapter 16 - Common Sense Training Part ThreeChapter 16 - Common Sense Training Part Three
"Kana, you did a good job with skinning the deer. With the feathers from yesterday, when the deerskin is dry, we can make some bedding. I'm sure it would be nice to lay your head down on a soft pillow, no?" Lysairth had thought about how to make a simple pillow for Kana, so she did not need to use her paws or tail as a pillow.
"A pillow!?" Kana had always wanted to use a pillow. She remembered how soft they were when she was younger before her mother died. The cold walls of the public restroom were not very comfortable. So the idea of making a pillow excited her. "How long will it take before we can make one!?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Keep the skin out in the sun for a little while to dry it out some, and we can probably make one tonight." Lysairth knew it would not be the best of pillows, but it would allow a little more comfort.
"Okay!" Kana said as she placed her meat down and moved the hide to a sunny area. She then went right back to eating.
"While you are eating, I will explain a bit about this world." Lysairth decided to take the time when Kana was least likely to wander off and do something else to give her some information about this world. Basically, it all boiled down to this. The world that Kana was now on is called Xeneria. It is a large world with almost seven continents. The names of the continents are Munas, the continent that Kana is currently on. Kriren, a continent dominated by elves. Travel to and fro is strictly regulated, and no other races besides elves may live on the continent. Faegrocari a continent ruled by the Fae. Like Kriren, travel is strictly regulated, and no race besides the Fae may live there. Then there are Eucaveron and Iabunesh, which are mixed race continents. And lastly, two uncharted continents Klipriron and Pleqoth. Although these continents are known to exist, to get them is almost impossible due to the strange occurrences that happen when someone gets too close.
For races, there are Humans who make up thirty percent of the world's population. The Elves, a prideful race that looks down on all the other races, but their ability to work with leather and wood crafts are second to none. The Dwarves who are master weaponsmiths and armor makers. They are also the most advanced race when it comes to magic tech. The beastmen consist of many different animal races that look more human than animal due to only keeping the ears and tail of the animals they are related to. Lizardmen who are a humanoid race that still looked like lizards but are sentient. They are more tribal and like to live in swamps away from other races. The Fae are sentient beings like fairies and dryads. They normally can only be found on the Faegrocari continent. Second, to last, are the Mermen who live in the oceans of Xeneria. They hate all surface dwellers and hardly ever leave the oceans. And lastly, the Insectoids are insect monsters who have evolved to have humanoid features. Although they are sentient, they still live with the nests they were born in.
As for Dragons, they are thought to be extinct and can only be seen in storybooks. They were once the ruling race of this world and the strongest beings. What caused their race to go extinct no one truly knows. Not even Lysairth. She only noticed less and less dragons were passing through the temple as the years went on. Until finally, none showed up at all. So when Kana appeared, she could only think that maybe Kana was the last of her kind.
The continent Munas the one Kana was currently on, is mainly a human control continent. While they control most of the continent, they do not control it all since beastmen and dwarves also have huge kingdoms on it. The continent is home to six separate countries. There are four human countries, the Botus Empire, the Yuzxaris Kingdom, the Elurean Kingdom, and the Yuthia Theocracy. Where the human goddess Yuthia is worshiped. As for the dwarves, they rule the Stone Hammer Kingdom, which is tucked away in a large mountain range that spans many kilometers, and the Beastmen rule the Rural Kingdom.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmKana was in the forgotten forest, which was on the east side of the Elurean Kingdom. It was a small kingdom, but it held a very strong army. "Kana, do you get all of this?"
"Hmm? Lysairth, you say something?" Kana's cheeks were stuffed with deer meat as she chewed and continued to stuff more inside it.
"Kana, listen to what I am saying to you!" Lysairth was speechless; she had just explained so much, and the damn girl did not even listen to her! And so she was once again forced to repeat everything she said, making sure Kana learned it all in the process. "Now, Kana, out of all the races, you have to be careful of Humans those most. They were evil and vial! They will do anything to trick others into doing their bidding. So if you come across a human, either kill them or run away as fast as you can, got it?"
"Mm… Kill humans or run away. No problem." Kana hated humans the most. While not all were bad, she hated them because most were rotten to the core. This was based on all the street trash that she had met while trying to survive. She remembered being beaten so bad one day for taking some food she had two broken ribs and could only suffer in pain as she still tried to search for food from trash barrels. At that time, she thought she was done for. Luckily she was able to still survive, but now Kana kind of wished she had died then, then maybe she would not have suffered as much as she did
