Qin Hua stared at everyone digging around their snow foxes for mana cores. She hadn't gained an affinity for the ice element yet, so she wanted the mana cores as well.
But judging from the manner in which everyone was eagerly searching for the cores, she didn't have the heart to snatch it away from them.
The only person she could strong-arm was the furball who quickly brought it over to her.
[Ahem. Ahem. I am sharing my experience points with you. So this much is just fair trading alright?]
[Yes, master! Meow!]
Qin Hua quickly turned away from the innocent furball who did not realize that she was being swindled and took the other mana core from her clone as well.
She quickly absorbed both of them. Beside her, Lu Chen was instructing the others to store the beasts properly so that they could eat their meat later.
A few minutes later, the group once again started moving. The frozen forest seemed endless so even Qin Hua had no idea just how long this was all going to last.
On their way, they came across a few more skulks which were readily slaughtered without Qin Hua having to interfere at all.
Not long after, three huge polar bears appeared from behind thick trees and these bears had spikes all over their bodies like a porcupine.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTheir hide was extremely tough and their attack power and defense were very high.
In the beginning, Lu Chen, Alex, and Guan Ye tried to handle a single bear each but the fights were going nowhere.
The rest of the group as well joined and everyone's coordination was smooth.
Without any hassle, the entire group, except for the people who couldn't fight, split into three and tackled the three huge bears.
On Qin Hua's orders, Coco stood behind them, focusing on all three groups and healing when necessary.
In this manner, the fights continued smoothly and the health of the three bears was slowly being whittled down.
But suddenly, the bear on the right, became extremely aggressive as if all its attributes had somehow increased magically.
It let out a tremendous roar and lashed at the people standing near it, throwing everyone back.
The beast was quite intelligent as it ignored the others and came directly at Lu Chen who was dealing the maximum damage.
It came bounding towards his thin figure that had been flung into the snow on the ground.
As this had happened unexpectedly, Lu Chen was hit on his chest and he coughed up a mouthful of blood, bright crimson covering the pristine snow.
He lifted his hand to freeze the bear's path but it shook his attack off with a big stomp.
Lu Chen grimaced at the sight of its superb strength and sent out some ice bullets aiming for the beast's eyes.
ROOOOAAAARRR!
A jet of wind blew from the bear's mouth instantly blowing these off and negating this attack as well.
"Lu Chen!" Alex and a few others shouted in alarm. Things were starting to become tricky. They couldn't help him as they were already trying their best to keep up with their bear.
The bear also did not look like it was going to stop anytime soon. It growled in anger and prepared its canines to bite and gobble the thin human being that laid in front of it.
Its huge body jiggled and the bear leaped towards Lu Chen, its eyes gleaming ferociously, but before it could reach its target, a black figure rammed against it and sent it back.
ROOOOAAARRRR!
Qin Hua growled back at the spiked grizzly, her roar louder than the bear's shout. All the three bears immediately turned to pay attention to her, as another new player had entered the battlefield.
The black wolf who had not shown any signs of interfering up until now had finally made a move. The bear's eyes widened in surprise and it waved its huge paws around in a frenzy.
However, the black wolf casually evaded all of its attacks and her elegant lithe figure moved to directly claw at the bear's throat.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe hardened spikes on the bear's hide were no match for the wolf's claws that were laced with black wisps of energy and as well as trace amounts of lightning.
The spiked shattered like brittle icicles and the single attack drew blood, heavily injuring the rampant frenzied bear.
Coco, meanwhile, had already healed Lu Chen and he sprang back on his feet, crafting an ice spear and finishing off the bear by stabbing it right where Qin Hua had attacked it.
Thud!
The huge bear finally fell limp and lifeless on the floor.
Surprisingly, the other two bears did not behave in this way and Alex and Guan Ye had somehow managed to injure the two a lot.
Qin Hua ended up giving a helping hand to them as well and sent out a few black arrows, finishing off the fights.
This time the difficulty level was much higher than when they were dealing with just snow foxes. So she quickly ended things so as to not risk any unnecessary casualties.
And just like that, as soon as she interfered, the three bears had fallen down and were suddenly not that dangerous anymore.
"Fuck!" Alex loudly exclaimed and collapsed on the snow covered ground. This was the same feeling she had back when she was fighting the giant boas.
She had thought that she had become stronger but somehow she was once again in the same boat! No matter how strong they became, there was always another enemy that was a level higher!
This was the sad truth.
Qin Hua walked over to Lu Chen and eyed him from top to bottom and from all angles, making sure that he was not hurt.
Her actions were weird and funny and in the end, Lu Chen pulled her closer and ruffled her head. "I am fine, little white."
Woof! Qin Hua bobbed her head and then quickly ran towards the bears, leaving behind the dumbfounded guy. Her attention span was really fleeting!
