Qin Hua dashed towards one of the boas and sunk her canines into its thick scaly skin.
Clang. Her teeth ground against the sturdy metallic scales and she had hardly even made a grunt.
The snake was not an idiot to let her do anything that she wanted. It immediately responded with its immense strength and tossed her aside.
Qin Hua's body flew back several feet and hit the ground with a resounding thud.
Her health instantly plummeted to half.
[Fuckkk!]
She gritted her canines in pain and immediately flung herself into a nearby shadow. Her entire body was aching all over but the worst part was that no one else was making a move.
They still stood frozen, rooted to the ground.
[Move! Move! Move!]
She screamed inwardly but she could voice it out loud, loud hisses once again reverberated, and right in front of her eyes…
The gigantic boas moved with incredible agility and struck down four people randomly. They rolled out their tongues and rolled in the bodies, picking them up with their mouth.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAnd then in one swift motion, they tilted their head up and gobbled the four people, swallowing them alive.
Everyone could see the men and women who were eaten alive still struggling as their bodies slide down the long coiled figures of the snakes.
Half of the beasts' bodies were hidden in the ground and before the meal could even hit the bottom of their stomach, their fangs once again splendidly shone in the morning sunlight.
The boas raised their heads and hissed in content, as their devilish eyes scanned for their next prey as if they were simply catching fish in a barrel.
Their strength far outweighed the strength of the insects in front of them and they knew it.
HISSSSSS!
And just like that four people had already disappeared and the snakes were soon going to gobble the next four. It hadn't even taken them 10 seconds?
At this rate, the entire group would be consumed and end up as snake food in less than a minute.
Their lives that they had been preciously guarding for years and years would just like that disappear in the span of a second.
That was the true meaning of the new world. That was the difference between the strong and weak.
In front of creatures like this everything that they had done in the last few days to survive suddenly seemed meaningless...
Qin Hua's eyes reddened with madness. She had already died once in the most pathetic way possible. She was not ready to die, once again ending up as fodder.
She had questioned everything a lot of times. Why did she become a dog? Why was she given this second chance? Why did the world become like this?
In reality, none of that mattered. The only thing that mattered was… being alive. The strong survived and if she survived this that meant that she was strong.
And she wanted to be strong.
Woof! Woof! AWOOOOOO!!!
Qin Hua let out a huge roar as she popped out of the shadow.
Before the snakes could strike again, a black ball materialized in front of her and she tossed it onto the snake whom she had previously tried to bite.
While the scales glinted in the sunlight, brilliantly reflecting the light falling on it, the chaos ball was a pitch-black orb speeding like a bullet towards the snake.
The black orb clashed against the beautiful green scales, the latter cracking on the impact even though it was just a little bit, and then as Qin Hua hoped and preyed the ball bounced off the snake and gathered more momentum before heading straight for the next one.
[Yess! I can do this! We can do this!] A small hope surfaced within her. Her lockets replenished her mana and she was once again ready to cast another chaos ball.
The snakes, however, did not give her the chance to do so.
The two snakes who were hit by the attack pounced together on her, both their heads simultaneously striking the spot where she was standing.
The other two as well had vicious glints in their slit-like eyes as they once again struck the ground, intending to gobble more of the prey standing like sheep in front of them.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDust and rubble flew everywhere and Qin Hua bolted into another shadow as fast as she could, but the others were not quick to react.
They still continued watching her and the snakes as if the fight had nothing to do with them.
And once again, just like that, two other men were tossed into the air and gobbled up like mini treats.
Qin Hua panted furiously. [NO! No! No! You cannot stand simply. Noooo! We are not going to die like this! I am not going to die here!]
With a maddened craze, she popped out of Lu Chen's shadow, standing right in front of him, and let another loud roar.
GROWL!!!
This time her cry came from the depths of her soul. It was as if she was commanding everything and everyone to act according to her will.
She roared so loudly that her sound thundered amidst the frozen crowd, drowning even the hissing noises of the four snakes.
From the mere impact of her growl, Lu Chen's hair stood like spikes as if a strong wind had assaulted him.
<Ding. Growl has been upgraded to Majestic Roar>
<Majestic Roar: Commands the attention of the enemy and increases the morale and the stats of all nearby non-enemies by 5% for 30 seconds>
Qin Hua had almost forgotten about this skill. She couldn't care less about it right now. The important was that the man in front of her finally looked alive.
"Damn it!!! Damn it all!!" Lu Chen shouted as he clutched his head in frustration.
Guan Ye, Alex, and everyone else as well somewhat recovered from their stupor.
Though the dreadful reality was still playing out, and what awaited them hadn't changed, they didn't look as lost as before. They wanted to fight back.
