[WHAT? That is impossible! Woof!] Qin Hua's sharp elegant eyes widened and she stared at Lu Chen and then at Su Yan.
She hadn't sensed anything at all. So how did this guy find out about this?
"Can we go check it out? What do you think?" Lu Chen asked.
Qin Hua dazedly nodded her head as she still couldn't figure out how she had failed to sense the mana around the rift.
Perhaps she had spent all her focus on the person next to her as there was no clue how he would react at any given instant.
She shook her head helplessly. It looked like she wouldn't be able to rest easy until she became stronger than him.
"And little white this time…" Lu Chen continued talking to her. "Maybe we should only take some members with us?"
"Since there is no way of knowing what is in the rift, we could first enter it, check it out and then bring in the others. What do you think?"
"It is probably dangerous inside, but I think we have all gained a lot after facing those chimeras."
"So if we first get an idea of what type of things are in the rift… then we could hatch some sort of plan and attack those together."
Qin Hua nodded. That sounded like a good idea to her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLu Chen then went over to the group and informed everyone. The news about these rifts was still not widespread so there wasn't any hurry.
Everyone rested for the next couple of days before heading over to the spatial rift with Su Yan leading the way.
Mo Ling felt guilty that he had left and now he was joining back as if nothing had happened, but Lu Chen firmly declined him.
The last time they had only parted ways because of the so-called 'military doctors'.
But now it was obvious that there was no order or structure to that group, and they were behaving more unrestrained than ever, even to the extent of bullying those without abilities.
"Are we really going to let this continue?" Alex threw a glance at their former city which they had been kicked out of and muttered.
The rift was inside the military camp's borders so they were currently trespassing. Everyone had a bitter feeling as if they were thieves in their own home.
It was extremely unsettling considering everything else that was already happening around them.
Lu Chen silently heard everyone's opinions but he didn't say much. With a few minutes, they arrived at the spatial rift.
Su Yan lifted his hand and did an act of crushing something and the next second the portal to the rift was visible to everyone.
Only now Lu Chen finally spoke. "You guys know what this is right? Let's become stronger and clear this one too and then we will take back our city and this camp."
"I think we have given them more than enough chances!" Lu Chen muttered and stepped inside the rift first along with Qin Hua, Coco, and Su Yan.
The others looked at each other and rejoiced! Finally! They were sick and tired of being treated like criminals in their own homes.
Their city was already cleared of monsters, so they wanted to live in their own homes with their friends to still cling to some things from the past.
Everyone began to stretch and prepared themselves to fight hard inside the rift and not become rattled like the last time.
Since they had already experienced this once and that too when things had gone terribly wrong, they were no longer nervous.
Some of them even helped the elders look around for herbs while they waited.
Meanwhile… inside the rift…
Qin Hua, Coco, Su Yan, and Lu Chen were standing in a thick lush forest. There wasn't really that much difference between their world and this world.
Everyone cautiously observed their new surroundings to see if anything was going to come running at them from the bushes, while Qin Hua checked out the string of notifications that had popped out.
<Ding. You have entered a spatial rift>
<Ding. A new unique quest has been generated>
<Ding. Secure the crystal core of the rift>
<Ding. Reward: 100000 experience points; 10 skill points>
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm<Ding. Do you wish to activate party mode?>
[Hmmm…] Qin Hua eyed the notifications for the party and the quest. Weirdly, the quest this time offered fewer rewards than the previous time.
[This means that it is not going to be as difficult as the last one? Woof!]
She saw that Su Yan had walked ahead to take a look so she quickly tapped Lu Chen and scribbled on the ground. 'Not difficult. Everyone come in.'
The two nodded in silent understanding and Lu Chen stepped out to have everyone come in as well, but this interaction hadn't entirely missed Su Yan's eyes.
He was also paying attention to them while simultaneously observing the surroundings. "So there is also something else they are not telling me?"
After Lu Chen left, he quickly came back in, and along with him everyone else.
"Come on! Where are those damn orcs! Give me some orcs!" Alex shouted, ready to fight.
"Idiot. It's not like we are going to face the same thing again right?" Lu Chen shook his head.
He continued looking around along with Qin Hua and Su Yan but so far they hadn't encountered any living beings besides their own group.
Qin Hua was also busy with the party set up. She decided to do some rearranging of the numbers before the fight started.
Clearly, she had given too many experience points to a certain someone who was now stronger than her. So she wanted to make that 0%.
Grrrr. She growled and opened the status screen. And as soon as she did, she was shocked.
It was the same party notification as the last time, but now that certain someone's name was missing from the list.
The person was clearly no longer loyal to her so perhaps he wasn't included.
[Woof! Whatever. More experience points for me! Hmph.] Qin Hua snapped her canines and stopped glaring at Su Yan. She looked around to see what sort of a spatial rift this was.
