Chapter 90 - Slaughter Part5
Screee! Screee!
A group of five goblins were chattering and excitedly hunting a pack of wild mutated dogs.
The sharp canines and the frenzied state of the dogs would have scared many people but the goblins seemed fairly casual about the fight.
They slashed their weapons at the dog as if they were beating down a bunch of pests that were not fit to stand in front of them.
Their agility and strength matched the frenzied state of the dogs and it didn't take them long to stab the entire pack to death in the cruelest and most sadistic manner possible.
Instead of finishing the fight by tearing away their throats, they stabbed everywhere else making the dogs yelp and slowly bleed on the ground to death.
They then chattered and laughed among themselves enjoying the sight contently.
Screee! Screee! Screee! Screee!
Suddenly, one of the goblins pointed to the dog that was standing at a distance. It also looked like a mutated dog or rather a wolf and its body was pitch black in color.
It was calmly eating something on the ground and it looked like it hadn't yet seen them.
Screee! Screee! Screee! Screee!
The goblins chuckled gleefully at the thought of their next prey and quickly dashed towards the oblivious dog.
The beast was a bit far away from where their group was but they didn't care too much about it. They grinned wildly and ran towards the dog.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThey particularly enjoyed ganging up on an isolated target so they didn't want to miss this chance.
The animal innocently looked up at them and then yelped before scrambling and running away.
The goblins immediately quickened their pace and ran behind it, seeing that the dog was not capable of running too fast.
Screee! Screee! Screee! Screee!
About ten goblins chased after the dog. They turned the corner around the block, following the dog into an alleyway, but… the dog that they were chasing was nowhere to be seen. It had disappeared into thin air!
Huh? The goblins look around in confusion, when suddenly two dogs instead of one materialized, one at the back and one at the front of the group.
[Majestic Roar]
The two dogs howled together and then without any warning, they started leaping around chaotically.
The goblins couldn't clearly see what was happening and stood rooted on the spot, turning their heads here and there.
They dumbly waved their daggers around, trying to hit the dog but that was only a pipe dream. Qin Hua's agility, even her clone's agility was far greater than the goblins'.
She was a black blur bouncing back and forth around the goblins and every now and then she stuck her paws out to rip bits and pieces of the creatures.
She didn't care about what or where she was ripping. She simply clawed any solid flesh that she was able to grab and continued bouncing.
Screee! Screee! Screee! Screee!
The goblins shrieked in panic and confusion. A couple of them had already stumbled and fallen down, their legs severely damaged.
Qin Hua grinned and was about to finish the job by killing those two when she felt a gust of wind near her face.
Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.
[Woof? What the hell?] She bolted to another shadow and then looked at the two goblins who each had three big holes in their head now, and the flesh around the holes was frozen.
She instantly realized what had happened and looked up to confirm her suspicion. Two lean and tall figures looked back at her and one gave her a thumbs up with a weak smile.
Qin Hua's grin widened. She felt more energetic and leaped back into the shadow once again resuming her barrage of attacks.
The goblins by now realized that they had been trapped and started to run helter-skelter. But Qin Hua was faster.
She started targeting their legs first and made all the goblins collapse and crawl on the ground. They wailed in pain but she knew better to show them mercy.
After incapacitating the whole bunch, she then directly targeted their throats and started ripping one by one into shreds. Lu Chen managed to get four of them and she got the remaining six.

Qin Hua shook her head, beads of blood flying everywhere. The chimes of the experience points always put her in a better mood.
She peeked outside to make sure that the fight hadn't attracted any attention and then started absorbing the mana cores one by one.
This time she paid more attention to the absorption of the mana and tried regulating her breathing at the same time, incorporating the mana within the nooks and corners of her body.
With each mana core she absorbed, she could sense the feeling of fullness becoming more and more evident.

She let out a long deep breath and picked out the next core…
Her clone meanwhile ran back and joined the others on the terrace. Lu Chen, Luo Zu, and Guan Ye had somewhat regained their composure, but Alex and Meilin were still in a state of shock.
They managed to pick themselves off of the floor but their bodies were trembling and their knees were shaking.
Some of them kept an eye on Qin Hua while the rest kept an eye on the stadium brimming with the green creatures who continued celebrating merrily and danced around the bonfire, cries, and screams echoing amidst their screeching noises.
This was the enemy that they had to face. Everyone mentally prepared themselves to fight them and the consequences if they by chance lost the fight…
