Akio, Gavin, and the other awakeners were lost in the euphoria of victory. They had just defeated the wyrm that lived in this chamber. However, their fun was cut short when they heard Klaus' shout.
"You idiots! It's not over yet!"
The happy faces disappeared. They realized that the smartlink had not given them the notification to leave the dungeon immediately. Then, their eyes opened wide and rolled to the most powerful person in the room.
"Vincent is still under hypnosis! Watch out!" Gavin shouted a warning to his friends. Unfortunately, it was too late.
"Arrrgghhh!"
Vincent roared, shaking the hearts of anyone who heard his anger voices.
The guild master of the Morning Star expelled an incredible amount of mana from his body. He created a gravitational vortex around Akio and the others, trying to pull them into the black hole.
At the same time, Olivia suddenly fell to her knees.
"Are you okay?" Klaus asked.
"I'm sorry. I can't hold it in anymore. He's too strong."
Klaus furrowed his brow, realizing something wrong was happening. From the very beginning, Vincent had used the power of gravity on a wide and powerful scale. It certainly consumed a lot of mana. Even if he was an S-class, he would have collapsed if he did it continuously. Instead, he was getting stronger.
"So, the wyrm is not the alpha, huh?" Klaus muttered.
On the other hand, Akio and the fighters on the front line withstood against the pull with all their strength, gathering mana around them to fight Vincent's power. Of course, Justin and the casters did not stay still. They launched elemental attacks at Vincent to weaken him.
"Don't let him use his gravity power!" Justin exclaimed. He gathered mana from his body, creating thousands of ice spikes out of thin air.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The ices, along with lightning strikes, tornadoes, bursts of fire, boulders, and various other elements, shot simultaneously towards Vincent.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Rumbling echoed throughout the chamber. The combined elemental attack was so devastating that the awakeners froze as they saw the massive destruction that had occurred before their eyes in those few moments.
They could see nothing but flashes of light.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Not long after, the dust blocking their view disappeared. Deep down, they wished Vincent had died from that attack. This man was too strong to be their enemy.
However, fate said otherwise.
"No way."
Vincent stood amidst the rubble without a scratch on his body. This man froze his opponents.
When thousands of elemental attacks came at him simultaneously, the gravitational field pulled them downwards. So the attack's direction deflected to the ground instead of hitting Vincent.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe awakeners gulped. Their animal instincts kicked in
Vincent took a deep breath, staring at them with a defiant gaze. In an instant, he grasped the power of gravity with mesmerizing skill. Around him, the air swirled and distorted, creating a halo of energy that emitted a deadly aura.
"What are you waiting for! Attack!"
Of course, the awakeners had not given up. Gavin gathered mana as his body emitted lightning. Then, he rushed forward at high speed, attacking Vincent with a flurry of lightning bolts.
However, Vincent did not retreat in the slightest. He controlled gravity with finger gestures, creating a black hole that pulled Gavin towards him. Gavin struggled against the powerful pull, using lightning bolts to break free from the force of the gravitational suction.
The other awakeners weren't just watching either. Akio tried to dive into the gravity field.
"Hang on!" Akio exclaimed.
Seeing another enemy coming, Vincent switched targets to Akio. With just a flick of a finger, the oriental man bounced off the gravitational push and crashed into Gavin, throwing them both out of the gravity field.
"Arrrgg! God Dammit! He's so strong." Akio punched the floor.
"Yeah. I underestimated him too much." Gavin gritted his teeth. He held his stomach, where the black streaks were.
Just as Vincent was distracted, Michael and Sylvia plunged down on top of his head. However, he did not dodge. He let them deliver hard and deadly blows. The man just stood still and took the damage.
But he seemed to feel no pain at all.
In that critical moment, Olivia saw an opening in Vincent's defense. With courage in her chest, she shot into the air with incredible speed.
"Haaaa! I'm coming!"
In an extremely fast motion, her sword glided towards Vincent, spinning through the air with powerful strength.
Splash!
Her katana stabbed right into Vincent's chest. The room fell silent for a moment as all eyes focused on this fateful moment. However, when the blade touched Vincent's body, something unexpected happened.
"Gggggggerrrr!" Vincent growled through his teeth. His body glowed with an overflow of mana. Then, a violent energy explosion occurred.
Boom!
"Kyaaaa!"
"Arrrggh"
"Urreggg!"
Michael, Sylvia, and Olivia were sent flying. The three of them slammed into the wall and debris buried them.
Vincent stood there with glowing red eyes. With just a glance, Vincent was able to make the awakeners freeze in fear. They dropped their jaws and could not move.
"Grawwww!" Vincent roared like a beast.
Just when everyone thought it was over, they heard the wind whistling.
Swoosh!
Splat!
"Arrggh!"
Suddenly, the roar turned into a scream of pain. Vincent was hysterical, and his untouched body was oozing blood.
Splat! Splat! Splat!
Meanwhile, the awakeners couldn't help twisting their faces in confusion. They didn't see the object that attacked Vincent, but this man screamed as if bullets had ripped through his body.
"What happened?"
"What's wrong with him?"
"Has he lost his mind?"
Whispers of speculation echoed through the awakeners. They saw nothing but a madman.
However, high-class awakeners like Gavin could see it.
"You saw it, right?"
"Yeah," Akio replied. "Four metal spheres tortured at high speed." A grin bloomed in his face. He knew who used metal spheres as weapons. "Thank you, boss. You always manage to surprise me."
Vincent continued to scream. He increased the strength of his gravitational field. However, the metal spheres still slammed into his body.
"What are you waiting for? Kick that guy's ass!" Justin shouted from a distance. He and the casters launched elemental attacks at Vincent.
Boom! Boom! Bam!
Fire, ice, lightning, earth, wind, metal, and various elements rained down on Vincent. But all of them missed their target, leaving only an echoing boom throughout the room.
"This is our chance! Let's go!" Gavin exclaimed.
Gavin manipulated his lightning element, creating a flash of light that split the room. He unleashed lightning bolts that hit Vincent from multiple directions, creating chaos that confused his opponent.
Akio moved with sound speed, deceiving Vincent with swift sword movements and deadly precision. He launched quick strikes, aiming hjs attacks at Vincent's weak points with great ingenuity.
"Give me space!" A red-haired woman screamed.
Sylvia used her iron gauntlet with greater force, hitting Vincent with a flurry of punches. Each fist carried a power that rocked the room, sending shockwaves that shook his body.
Their attacks continued, sweeping the room with power and destruction.
Vincent was cornered, constantly facing attacks coming from every direction. He tried to manipulate gravity to counter the attacks.
"Arrrrghh!" He groaned in pain.
However, the metal spheres' attacks managed to damage his weak points, making it difficult for him to stand his ground.
In an advantageous moment, the final attack was launched. Olivia and the others gathered the last of their strength, unleashing a powerful combined attack.
"Arrrr! Take this, you rancid bastard!" She shouted angrily.

Vincent bounced backward, falling heavily to the ground.
The atmosphere became silent. There was no sound other than labored breathing. All eyes were on Vincent who was lying with his body partially buried in rubble.
Vincent moved his fingers. For a moment, the awakeners held their breath. They hoped he would not rise again.
"Don't tell me he got up again," Michael muttered.
And then, Vincent stopped moving. The man fainted. Thus, the awakeners had defeated Vincent.
"We did it! We did it!"
Cheers and relief filled the room. The awakeners celebrated their victory. They had just defeated the guild master of Morning Star, without killing him.
"Oh my god. Finally, it's over." Justin fell to his knees. He had already exhausted a lot of mana in this battle.
"Thank goodness." Olivia was in a similar situation. This woman had already expended her full strength.
The red-haired woman was lying on the floor. Next to her was a big man with sweat soaking his clothes.
"Good job, Sylvia," praised Michael.
"You too, without you I probably wouldn't stand this far.
The rest of the awakeners sprawled or sat on the cold floor, resting their feet after winning Vincent through a great struggle. And then, the healers rushed to do their job.
As the room filled with silence, they realized that something was missing inside.
"Hey, where's your big bro, Joanna?" Olivia asked.
Joanna was treating her wound, suddenly stopping. "Huh? I thought you knew."
Olivia squinted. "What? Klaus is a caster. He's always in the back. He should be with you."
"I don't know. I haven't seen him in battle."
Olivia furrowed her brow in wonder. She tried asking around, looking for Klaus' whereabouts. However, none of them knew.
...
Footsteps echoed in the dark hallway. Two men walked there. One looked worried, and the other was very calm.
"Cousin, where are we going? The others are in the back. They must be looking for us." Noah said while biting his lip.
"Relax. Just follow me," Klaus replied.
After walking for a while, they came to a gate. It was carved out of metal and had strange engravings.
Without hesitation, Klaus pushed it.
Krrrriikkek.
Noah was wide-eyed as the gate opened. Suddenly, his body trembled in fear.
"Cousin... what the fuck is that?"
"We have arrived at the chamber of true alpha."
Before them, a colossal dragon was sleeping in a hall.
