130 Leaving the Cave
Luo Xiao was the only one awake in the cave. While the silence was overwhelming, he did not feel uncomfortable. Instead, he was seated with his legs crossed, his elbows resting on his legs, and his head cradled in his palm as he looked at Jiang Yao.
Jiang Yao was extremely attractive. He had long eyelashes, his skin was perfect, and a soft and comfortable sandalwood scent tingled his nose whenever he came close to the demon prince.
The attractive features were so striking that Luo Xiao felt his heart beat rapidly from just looking at the other man, and he knew that he was completely lost. This Seventh Demon Prince was indeed the man whom he loved and could not live without.
Luo Xiao smiled gently. Time had truly changed since he had left his village. Initially, he had been timid and fearful of the outside world, but now he was much more self-confident. He believed in himself and Jiang Yao, and knew that he would be able to live well.
He also knew that Jiang Yao was pampering him. Luo Xiao wanted to be the one who took revenge on the Fourth Demon Prince for what the corpse puppet had done to his friends and family.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIf not for Luo Xiao stubbornly saying that he wanted to take revenge on his own, Jiang Yao would have already killed his fourth brother.
This was something Luo Xiao did not wish to see. Not only because the revenge would feel pointless then, but also because he did not want for his beloved to kill his own blood-related brother. While they were only half-brothers, they still had the same father, and killing one’s own relative would bring a bad reputation to oneself.
Luo Xiao did not want to see Jiang Yao condemned for his sake.
Time ticked by slowly, and not long after, Jiang Yao’s eyelids trembled, and his eyes slowly opened. There was a golden flash within his eyes, which made them seem even more profound. ????????????????e????????.c????m
.....
“Xiaoxiao,” the voice of Jiang Yao was slightly hoarse, but there was a gentleness within, and Luo Xiao felt his body tingling as he listened to the extremely attractive voice. Just hearing the other mention his name with such a hoarse and attractive voice was enough to cause Luo Xiao, who had actually matured quite a bit, to blush.
Seeing the gentle red hue that had stained Luo Xiao’s face, Jiang Yao smirked in satisfaction. He loved to see his little lover’s shy expression.
“Let us leave the cave,” Jiang Yao said after looking around his surroundings. There were no treasures left. Even the ceiling was no longer glowing with the same light as before. The cave, which had been lit up like the outside, was suddenly dim, and only illuminated by the orbs in their hands.
Luo Xiao also felt that since they had taken everything worth something within the cave, there was no reason to stay, and he rose to his feet, after which he patted off the dust on his clothes.
Jiang Yao reached out his hand and gently held onto Luo Xiao’s warm palm. The gentle touch warmed Luo Xiao’s heart, and a soft smile spread on his lips.
The two of them began moving through the cave and through the tunnel before they once again found themselves in the Beast Ridge forest.
Although the cave had been almost like the outside, there was a difference in the air and the wind as it blew across their bodies, making them feel as if they were suddenly awake after being immersed in a dream for a longer period of time.
There were sounds of beasts in the surroundings, and Luo Xiao felt that the fresh air, which did not have an energy as rich as the one in the cave, was making his head clearer, and the drunk feeling he had experienced inside the cave due to the dense energy was slowly dissipating.
Jiang Yao also felt the change in the air and in the density of energy, but he did not have the same overwhelming reaction.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe two of them did no longer rush through the forest. They had already achieved their aim for which they came to the Beast Ridge, but they were not in a hurry to return to Cloudsoar City.
Luo Xiao had come out for the sake of training, and Jiang Yao had dragged him here for the sake of the Moon Anise.
During their visit, they had gained much more than they had hoped for, but they were also somewhat surprised by their gains.
Even Jiang Yao, who had countless riches and treasures, which were almost impossible to rival, was now much richer than before. The resources and treasures he had gotten during this trip were so many that he felt it was unreal.
The previously poor Luo Xiao, who had always tried to live frugally, was now much richer than even most of the Demon Princes and other nobles in Cloudsoar City. Still, he had no intention of changing his lifestyle from frugality to lavishness.
Most of the resources he had picked in the cave were herbs. These herbs were useful when refining pills and concocting medicines, and thus he had no interest in selling them.
He had taken a few ores, and even a handful of the Purple Maple Trees. These trees were not of much use for him, so he would exchange them for spirit crystals.
When being in the cave, they had gotten countless treasures that had been nurtured by the life force and dense energy within the dragon heart, but this place did not have a spirit crystal vein.
The spirit crystals were ranked depending on their purity: the higher the purity, the higher rank of the spirit crystal. Generally, the outer layer of the vein would have Earth Grade Spirit Crystals, then when one came a bit closer to the center, they would switch to Sky Grade Spirit Crystals, and so on, until one reached the core of the vein.
