Melvin suddenly dropped to his knees with a loud thud. The previously bustling cafeteria fell into a dead silence.

the way." ""Huh?" Melvin was stunned, tears in his eyes.

As Felicia began to walk away, she turned to see him still standing there and repeated, "Lead the way.

"Oh, okay." Melvin finally snapped back to reality. He quickly wiped his tears and followed her. The car was

waiting at the cafeteria's entrance, and he promptly opened the door for her.. As they drove away, those

witnessing the scene remained in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

Someone in the crowd pieced together the events and murmured, "So, Melvin didn't like Felicia and tried to

target her, but now his dad's life is in danger and only Felicia can help?"

"Wow, what kind of background does Felicia have?" Realizing this, the crowd turned to Kayla, who was grinding

her teeth in frustration.

She replied softly, "I have no idea..."

Kayla had heard whispers recently about Felicia frequently visiting the Walsh residence. There were even rumors

that Clive had publicly declared Felicia as his successor and the heiress to the Walsh family. Initially, Kayla found

this laughable and dismissed it. But now, she realized that this news was likely true. She realized she had
