Monday morning!
Arthur opened his green eyes which became more and more bright, as if there was a source of light within them.
One night of meditation, although there was barely any improvement, it made his Spiritual Core denser which in the end still increased his strength a bit. It might sound a bit trivial, but due to its power, if it was given to a child, it was enough to turn the child into a professional boxer.
"Mm…" his gaze moving towards where his aunt's room was, he felt something a little different there.
"Aunt seems to have succeeded," he said.
He wanted to see how she was now, so he came out of his room, then went to her room which was still tightly closed.
Worried that the noise would disturb her, so he immediately opened the door to the room, only to find her figure sitting with her eyes closed on the bed. She was holding Roy's necklace, winding it around her fingers.
Faintly, there was an almost imperceptible light gathering around her.
'Not bad, she managed to comprehend the first stage of the spell, enough to establish the foundation of her Spiritual Core.'
Unlike his which was a Divine Spell, Isabel's spell was only a Great Spell. It couldn't create a Spiritual Core directly, having to build the foundation first before slowly cultivating it into a Spiritual Core.
Basically, there are two stages here, Basic Stage and Main Stage. The last one is the stage where you can be called Magus Apprentice.
This was certainly better than the lesser spells, the average of them required five stages before they could be considered an Apprentice Magus.
In the first stage you can defeat 20 humans, in the second stage 40, and so on until the fifth stage, only then can you defeat 100 humans.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs for the basic stage which is the result of using a sublime spell, you can basically defeat 50 humans. Most importantly, advancing from the basic stage to the main stage was much easier than advancing from the first to the second stage.
This kind of advantage wasn't just in this initial realm, in later realms like Official Magus, this kind of distinction would continue despite the different types.
Not long after he entered the room, Isabel opened her eyes.
For a moment, a sharp light flashed in those eyes, as if her body was connected with electricity.
"Arthur..." She called out Arthur's name when she saw him standing in front of her.
"Congratulations, aunt! You can basically start building the foundation of your Spiritual Core, it may take a few hours. You can continue tonight if you have work to do first," Arthur said, clapping his hands with a faint smile.
"Before having at least a Spiritual Core foundation, I really can't cast magic?" she asked.
"Yeah, it's basically like that, but if you have the aptitude for using the spiritual energy coursing through your body, you can still cast magic. Of course, that would exhaust you."
"I see!" Isabel then stood up, she looked tired sitting down. As soon as she stood up, she stretched her beautiful and charming body, creating a sight that was very refreshing to the eyes.
Ring!
Suddenly her cell phone on the table rang, but it wasn't a call, it was just a message, probably from one of her assistants. They usually only text if it's not something urgent.
Isabel took the phone, checked the incoming messages. Quickly, she showed a strange expression.
"They really do," she said, looking at Arthur.
Arthur who didn't ask thinking it had nothing to do with him couldn't help but ask, "about that superhuman?"
"Yes! The military sent a woman to my office, they said she was from the special forces and would escort me for a while until the matter of building a nuclear submarine was resolved."
"They sure made a good excuse, what kind of woman then?" asked Arthur.
"Wait!" Isabel replied to the message. After a while, she showed Arthur her cellphone screen.
"Oh…" The latter immediately showed an interested expression.
The woman had frizzy hair and a pretty face. Even though she was wearing a professional suit, her charming figure could still be seen clearly.
"Do you know her?" Isabel asked as she saw Arthur's reaction.
"Yeah, she's one of the people I met, her name is Jade" Arthur answered.
"So she's that superhuman..." Isabel held her chin, looking thoughtful.
"Actually, as long as you form the foundation of your Spiritual Core, she won't be threatening. The only problem might just be your inexperience while she's clearly trained in battle."
"Yeah." And suddenly, the woman sat down again.
"Just a few hours, right?" She asked.
"Do you want to do it now, aunt?"
"Yeah, better be careful." She sent another message to her assistant, telling her she wasn't feeling well so she might not come into the office until noon.
This isn't really that bad since many congressmen come to the office only once a week.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Aunt, I'm not going to school either," said Arthur.
This was something he needed to keep an eye on directly. The process of building the foundation of a Spiritual Core didn't always go smoothly, sometimes something was unexpected and it was dangerous enough to cause death.
However, if he did the oversight, Arthur could guarantee it worked out without any problems as he could tackle every problem no matter what it was.
"Is that okay?" Isabel asked, knitting her brows. As a highly educated woman, a student not going to school is a serious problem.
"And what about Carla? There may still be people targeting her," she added.
"Don't worry, if someone is watching Carla I will definitely sense it, and I can be on my way to school in a few minutes."
"But you will miss your lessons, exams are coming soon."
"Aunt, it doesn't matter to me." Arthur smiled wryly.
Isabel seemed to remember what Arthur had been through. In the end, she sighed and shook her head.
"Okay!" She said, closing her eyes again.
Of course, Arthur didn't have to watch her directly in front of her, he could still do it from the living room, so he walked out of his room.
Carla happened to have just come out of her room and she was already dressed.
There was a slight difference from her, her blonde hair was dyed reddish in places and it had gotten a bit curly.
That's what she did in the salon yesterday, changing her look to be a bit more flashy.
Who knows why she changed her appearance to be like that.
