Xyla felt warmed as she heard her voice. A sweet smile blossomed on her face. “I’m fine Aunt Lana,

I’m already home. You don’t have to worry about me or fly over to see me, I’m all good.”

“That’s great, that’s great.” Lana gradually relaxed and she sounded more relieved now, “Oh right, Xyla,

I have bad news for you.”

“What is it?” Xyla asked.

Lana let out a heavy sigh. “You better be prepared. Emily might be released…”

Xyla was not really surprised with it. She had thought of this possibility ever since she found out that

Emily Quest suffered from major depression. Mental illness like this could draw one’s life if it went bad.

In times like this, if the family members strongly insisted that they wanted to bring her home, the police

would have considered execution outside the prison. After all, it would be troublesome to them if

anyone was found dead inside the detention center.

“Her condition is really serious. She tried to commit suicide in the hospital again yesterday, stabbing

herself in the main artery of her leg.”

“Your father is trying to apply for medical parole for her now, and I think my husband agrees to

approve.”

Xyla did not expect that Emily would commit suicide twice in such a short period of time. It was

glared at Xyla with a dark face and asked, “So what now? Emily is coming out?”

Xyla held her forehead wearily. “Yeah, no choice. According to her condition right now, it has to be this

way.”

“I feel like she’s faking it.” Georgie suspected.

“There’s a professional device to detect depression now, she can’t possibly fool that device. She’s not

that pro either, you think highly of her.” Xyla told Georgie.
