Chapter 718
Colton helped Nicole set up a meeting with Adam.
While Adam was surprised by the request, he still quickly agreed to the meeting. He was quite interested in her. In
fact, he intended to find out just what kind of woman could make Sasha hate so deeply yet be powerless against.
The three arrived separately at the high-class diner.
Nicole was shocked when she saw an old man with a hunched back shuffle into the room. She had assumed the
leader of Undercity would be a young person.
She did not expect to see someone who looked to be well over fifty years old. Not only that, but Adam looked like he
had difficulty walking.
Adam had been observing her from the moment he entered the room. After a few moments, he let out a laugh and
turned to Colton.

Instead of denying it, Colton changed the topic. "We asked to meet with you today because Nicky has a few
questions for you. Thank you for your time, sir."
Adam chuckled and waved his hand.
"It is no problem; it is my duty. Well, miss, ask away. As long as it does not go against the rules of the trade, I will
answer to the best of my ability."
Nicole pursed her lips in a smile and pulled out a stack of photos from her bag. She then spread them out before
him.
He was shocked by what he saw in the photos; they were of snipers from Undercity. More specifically, they were
photos of the snipers who killed the Clancies.
She did not beat around the bush and immediately asked away.
"I know your rules say you cannot betray your clients," she said. "But the current situation is extremely bad for me.
I hope you can at least hand over one of them."
A smile flashed across Adam's eyes. When he glanced back up at her, his eyes were filled with disdainful mirth. "Are
you looking for a scapegoat?"
"Not at all. They did the deed, so how could they be considered a scapegoat?" Nicole shot back with a polite smile
on her lips.
She had to have come prepared. Otherwise, she would never have said something like that.
He could not help but feel curiosity rise in him when she did not shrink back at all. Thus, he continued speaking, "We
were merely doing business. If we go with your suggestion and give you someone whenever anyone dies, I will run
out of men."
Nicole looked into his eyes and coldly barked out, "State your price."
Adam was surprised by how willing she was to compromise, but he soon let out a chuckle.
"Miss Anderson, my men would be very uneasy if money could buy one of them. You have approached the wrong

She smiled, not at all surprised by his answer. With a flick of her fingers, she pulled out another stack of documents
from her bag.
When Adam read what was written on the stack, his smile quickly faded away as a serious expression took over his
face.
His knuckles were white as he held those documents. Immediately, frowned and asked, "Where did you get this
information from?"
Nicole softly chuckled upon seeing his reaction before speaking in a languid voice.
"Every industry has its own rules. Still, these documents are currently the only copy of the information that exists.
No one else knows about it. If you are willing to consider my offer, I am willing to give this to you. If not, there will
be more copies of that information in the world."
It was no wonder she looked so certain of her victory from the start. She had some major blackmail on him.
His lips twitched upward. He thought everything from back then had been cleaned up. It was a surprise to realize
someone was still able to trace down the clues.
He slammed the document back on the table before turning to solemnly look at her.
"Very well," he said. "I will give you one of the three men. However, we will be even then."
