With the Ragnarok Sword in hand, Kaizen faced Morgaroth, and when they finally swung their swords at each other, the tremor in the Tretidian Capital reached a new level of intensity.
The King's Sword crossed against the blade of the Ragnarok Sword, pulsing an almost divine energy. This was the first time in the history of the Rise Online game that two legendary weapons had crossed paths. And the clash between Morgaroth and Kaizen unfolded in a series of movements so fast that ordinary people couldn't even follow with their eyes.
The metallic and explosive sound of each clash between the two swords reverberated, echoing as loudly as explosions and the crashing waves rocked the entire underground of the city, consequently causing earthquakes on the surface.
Kaizen was utilizing his psychic ability to hold back some of Morgaroth's strongest blows, while also countering with agile strikes.
The Ragnarok Sword emanated a powerful aura, strengthening Kaizen's blows and creating crystal structures that helped him, for example, to pin his own feet to the ground so that he wouldn't fly away with the waves of energy, which now illuminated even the darkness of the underground.
Morgaroth, after all, was cunning. His intelligence in battle was superior to the proud and childish Bishops Kaizen had fought before. He was looking for loopholes in Kaizen's defense to punish him and his technique with the King's Sword was lethal to say the least, and he used all of his power to try and overwhelm the Psyker.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHowever, Kaizen was determined to protect Tretidian and end the threat of Morgaroth once and for all. His journey, his experience and his powers combined harmoniously and he could not be more confident than he had already become.
As the battle raged, the surrounding environment seemed to respond to the intensity of the confrontation.
The air shimmered with electricity, and the stone walls of the tomb seemed to pulse in tune with the blows exchanged by the warriors as they gradually gave way.
Rocks began to fall. The statue of the first king was blown to pieces in seconds. And just over a minute after the battle began, the chamber of the tomb of the kings was unrecognizable, looking like a crater.
Time seemed to be suspended in that moment, with every move being calculated and executed masterfully by the two monsters fighting there.
Kaizen's resolve did not waver, his goal clear in his mind. He was fighting not only for survival, but also for justice.
As he floated, Kaizen spun his sword around and lunged forward. Seeing this, Morgaroth quickly placed his sword diagonally to parry Kaizen's blow, but at this point in the battle the Ragnarok's blade was only one component of the weapon's dangerous arsenal of skills.
Before the Ragnarok sword even collided with the King's Sword again, several crystal stakes rose from the ground like thorns to attack Morgaroth.
The crystal stakes advanced towards Morgaroth with astonishing speed. He had little time to react, deftly deflecting some of them or blocking with the King's Sword, but others found their target, piercing his skin grazingly and causing deep wounds. As blood oozed from the wounds, Morgaroth did not let anger take over his thoughts. He took advantage of Kaizen's momentary confidence and launched a fierce counterattack. His King's Sword glowed with a dark aura and he unleashed a string of powerful blows, seeking to find an opening in Kaizen's defense.
However, Kaizen was prepared for Morgaroth's onslaught. He used his reflexes to practically predict his opponent's movements, dodging each attack with precision. At the same time, he blasted the crystal stakes with and controlled them like a cloud of blades, making the battle even more intense.
The two were fighting with everything they had and with all their might, each determined to prevail. The tomb of the kings continued to shake with the force of the impacts, and dust was filling the air.
As the battle raged on, Kaizen began to almost hear what the Ragnarok Sword wanted, he felt the power of the legendary weapon flowing through his veins, strengthening his blows and broadening his perception.
With a series of quick movements, Kaizen advanced against Morgaroth, using his sword and skills combined in a deadly choreography.
Sword strikes, energy blasts, crystal stakes flying through the air - it was a spectacle of strength and dexterity.
Morgaroth fought with fury and desperation, but he was growing weaker and weaker under Kaizen's relentless pressure. His blows began to lose their force and his stamina waned by the second.
And then, in a decisive moment, Kaizen struck a final blow with the Ragnarok Sword. The blade sliced through the air with incredible speed, ripping through Andrew's chest from end to end.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmMorgaroth let out a cry of pain and surprise as the sword pierced his chest, and silence finally returned to the tomb chamber of the kings, which was now completely devastated. Morgaroth looked at Kaizen with a frightened countenance and placed his left hand on his chest. Then the Second Bishop looked at the bloodied hand with the expression of one who had seen a ghost.
"It is done." said Kaizen with his voice laden with determination.
"I knew it... That sword of yours... somehow manages to nullify my regeneration." Morgaroth stated, feeling what it was really like to be dying for the first time.
"Of course it does, after all that's why I chose to use it even in this place. If you weren't a vampire, I'm sure I'd have more viable options for such a cramped place."
"Did you know...? How?"
"I can see everything." Kaizen said, staring at the information in Morgaroth's attribute window. "Besides, I confess I'm a little disappointed... You're not strong enough to wield the sword there."
Kaizen then stretched his left hand forward and used to pull out the King's Sword, which was easily knocked out of Morgaroth's hand as he was already weakened.
"This will now stay with me and be returned to its owner."
However, before Kaizen can wield the sword, a puddle of black and half-gray slime appears in mid-air, and the sword is swallowed by this portal, leaving Kaizen in shock.
