Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Kaizen's eyes quickly swept over the attribute screen of the Moss Scorpion he was watching, and one thing captured his attention.

"Nature is the answer! These monsters are Mutant Rank, just like the Shadow Cat!"

The only thing in common between the two species of monsters was the Mutant Rank. This was the first time Kaizen had encountered a mutant monster to fight.

"That'll be good training!" Kaizen uttered as he stepped back a bit.

The fingers of his hand moved quickly and with amazing skill to equip the Spear of Theus. Kaizen didn't even have to look at the game interface as he fiddled with his inventory because he had already memorized the position of each icon.

The spear with the sharp iron tip appeared in his right hand, and the man gripped its handle firmly.

Suddenly, a Moss Scorpion leaped toward him, and its frightening speed made it able to cross several meters in a single bound.

If Kaizen was a player with a normal class, he would have been stung at this moment by the monster and would have died within 3 to 4 minutes later from the highly lethal poison, but Kaizen's class was not ordinary. Without moving a muscle, Kaizen made the Moss Scorpion stop midair, an inch from hitting him. Protected by Zahir's Light Armor, Kaizen began killing all the Moss Scorpions in his path, and there were almost three dozen after he had walked for only 20 minutes through the ravine. His fast movements, combined with the great defense of the Moss Scorpions, did a lot of damage to the blade of Theus' Spear, but it was still able to do the dirty work.

When he left Holinda City, he had believed that he would only be able to raise many levels when he reached the Howling Cliff, but he was already getting such good results in places not so feared.

After some time walking through the ravine, Kaizen spotted from afar a person fighting a pack of gray wolves.

He approached quietly and noticed that this person was a woman in her early twenties. This woman didn't have a name over her head, so Kaizen stood about 10 meters away from her, watching the fight with no intention of interfering so as not to get in her way.

The woman was as white as snow, which highlighted the long violet strands on her head. She wore no armor, only a blue jacket with modern fabric, gloves that did not cover the tips of her fingers, and black shorts that reached halfway up her thighs. Her weapon was a thin Katana with a completely bright red blade, whose hue was similar to that of her eyes. However, the most interesting features on her were the small black tail and the red horns on her head, indicating that she was not of the Human race.

She didn't seem to have any difficulty with the wolves attacking her, as she beheaded all of them quickly and without taking a step to the side. After this, she put the blade away and looked at the man watching her from afar.

Kaizen was not intimidated by this. In fact, he didn't even show a single expression. When he realized the woman's struggle was over and the way was no longer blocked, he started walking again down the ravine.

As soon as he passed the woman, he heard her soft voice.
