Chapter 1847 "Now..." Stefan kept his head low, hesitant to answer.

"Adie!" Renee's anxious voice cfrom nearby. When she was about to reach the entrance of the cave to find the treasures on the map, she heard from sparents behind her that a family was bullying Adie. She had quickly rushed back to the fishing area with Abby.

When Stefan heard Renee, he looked over. Renee looked over too, and their gazes met. There was only twenty meters between them, but it felt like they were worlds apart. Neither of them moved, and tseemed to have stood still. It felt like everything around them had disappeared as they stared at each other, neither making a move or saying anything.

The surrounding parents exchanged awkward glances, not knowing what to do.

Adie stood beside Stefan while Abby stood beside Renee. The siblings looked at each other and shrugged wearily. Their tic parents always caused a scene, so they were used to things like this. All they wanted to do was resolve this issue.

After around three minutes, Adie could no longer take it. He yanked Stefan's clothes and whispered, "Daddy, what's wrong with you? Are you going to stand here all night? You and Mommy are finally reuniting after so long apart, so why are you standing here in a daze? Shouldn't you rush over and hug Mommy and spin her around?" Stefan nearly choked when he heard Adie's suggestion. He leaned down and whispered back, "Who told you this?" "That's what they do on TV! Lovers who are separated for a long twill usually hug and kiss each other, but you and Mommy aren't doing anything like that at all!" Adie complained loudly so the people around could hear him.

The atmosphere beceven more awkward.

Helpless, Stefan said softly, "It's not like I don't want to hug her, but can't you see how angry your Mommy is? I'm afraid she'll kickif I go near her." The last tthey met was when Renee had entered his mansion. The conflict between them was still unresolved, and Stefan did not want to resolve it either. Hence... he had to suppress his desires. 1

Abby looked up at Renee in confusion, holding her hand tightly. "Mommy, you've been talking about Daddy all day, and now, he's finally here. Why do you look... unhappy?" "Am I?" Renee kept staring at Stefan, but the iciness in her voice was clear.

"Yes, it's very obvious. When you look at Daddy..." Abby frowned as shen thought about it then her eyes brightened as she declared, "It looks like you want to kick him!"

The parents around them had heard Abby, and they were trying to figure out what was going on between Stefan and Renee. Since Stefan and Renee weren't moving, they didn't dare to move either. Thus, everyone just stood there awkwardly.
