Remington's gaze was heavy, Eileen was posing as the real Stella, and currently, only four people were aware of
this. Himself, Martin, Eileen, and Lizetta. But where did Emma get her information?
"Con, spill it! Who told you? Whoever did has a lot to answer for!" Martin was livid.
Remington had an imposing presence, and Emma was visibly frightened, speaking in a panicked tone.
"Last night, someone slipped a letter through my front door; it's written in the letter."
The West family was dwindling, with hardly any relatives left. Her son was Barbara's only nephew, who had been
diligently caring for her by her bedside.
If Stella was a fake, then her son's inheritance was secured. It was natural for mother and son to be unable to
keep this under wraps.
"Showthe letter," frowning, Martin reached out his hand.
However, at that moment, the doctors finished their emergency intervention. Martin and Remington couldn't

Lizetta noticed Remington tense up, raised her other hand, and clasped both of her hands around his, silently
offering comfort.
She didn't wish for anything bad to happen to Barbara, even though Barbara hadn't been kind to her.
"The patient has been stabilized, but she mustn't be subjected to such severe stress anymore."
Fortunately, the doctor cout looking relieved, announcing good news. After the doctor left, they entered the
hospital room.
"Barbara, how are you feeling? I'm sorry, the truth about Stella. | lied to you," Martin leaned in, holding Barbara's
hand, his voice heavy with remorse.
Barbara, having just been through a life-and-death ordeal, had no strength left to speak, only managing to emit a
weak sound.
Martin had to lean in closer to make out her words, and then immediately turned to Evelina in the crowd.
"Evelina, chere."
Evelina hid the pity in her eyes; the old lady had managed to hold on. But that was for the best, the old lady
valued her condition, securing Evelina's place in the West family. Evelina walked past Lizetta, deliberately
bumping into her arm. Lizetta shifted slightly, watching Evelina approach the bed with a frown.
Previously, Barbara had targeted her, and now, Evelina had taken her place by Barbara's side. It was clear that
peaceful days would be even harder to cby. Lizetta suddenly felt exhausted, her previously good mood
evaporated.
"Mrs. West, even though I didn't marry Quinn, the child I'm carrying is Quinn's legacy, the only bloodline of the
West family. It's not out of place forto call you this way, right?" Barbara weakly nodded, and Evelina
immediately took Barbara's hand, placing it on her slightly swollen belly.
"Barbara, feel this, your grandchild is still here. | promise to take good care of him, and you must also stay
strong, waiting for your grandson to honor you in the future."
Barbara's face showed contentment as she turned to look in Martin's direction.

"lI understand what you mean, rest now."
Barbara closed her eyes, and a nurse stepped forward to tend to her, allowing everyone to step out of the room.
"What about that letter?" Once outside, Martin immediately pressed Emma again.
Emma took out a folded piece of paper from her bag and handed it over. Martin unfolded it and instantly
furrowed his brows.
"Remington, this handwriting looks like yours, but the strokes are slightly weaker, making it appear more
delicate, almost as if a woman tried to copy it. Take a look."
He handed the letter to Remington, who let go of Lizetta's hand to take the letter.
Lizetta, however, felt a tightening in her chest, a bad premonition. Sure enough, she heard Evelina speak up,
"The handwriting looks like Remington's, and it's written by a woman. Could it be Sis's handwriting?"
Lizetta knew trouble was brewing but hadn't anticipated it would arrive so swiftly. It was actually waiting right
there for her.
At this point, what more was there to misunderstand? She clenched her fist slightly, raising her eyes to meet
Remington's, and spoke up.
