The Thunderclaw kingdom faced destruction.
The princes and princesses' fight for the throne went out of proportions. Thousands of Innocent men, women and children were murdered every single day.
Some princes were hiding from their siblings, while some made an alliance to make sure that they would survive. Others were fighting against their own blood at the front, shedding the blood that circulated through their own veins.
The Razgra kingdom had invaded the Thunderclaw kingdom. Their forces occupied half of the Thunderclaw kingdom, and everything was controlled by the seventh prince.
Somehow, the seventh prince had increased his cultivation to the Acerta stage. Nobody could tell for sure how exactly he did, but his combat prowess exceeded the realms of anything that ought to be possible.
He was amongst the youngest of his brothers and sisters, but his strength toppled everyone. Slowly but steadily, the seventh prince was considered the new crown prince of the Thunderclaw kingdom.
However, it was mostly fear that forced the poor and powerless civilians to submit to the seventh prince. They didn't want to die and accepted everything as long as they could survive.
The Nasga race continued to advance through the Thunderclaw kingdom, and news about hundreds of thousands of Aldra fleeing to the Glacia kingdom could be heard from everywhere.
Blood, death, and terror were everything the Thunderclaw kingdom represented right now. The seventh prince subdued everyone, who was desperate to continue living while he killed the rest. His methods were cruel, but their effect was crystal clear.
Fear drove the subdued Aldra to follow the seventh prince's orders, whatever they may be.
When Kyle and the others heard about this, they were shocked. They didn't expect that it would only take a few months before the seventh prince would be able to call himself the crown prince without anyone speaking up against his claim.
This was insane but it was not actually something that influenced Kyle a lot.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Did he improve so much because of the Mana stones we provided him? Maybe he used a forbidden technique to break through multiple ranks with all the Mana hoarded within the mana stones…" Selene asked, feeling complicated thoughts running through her mind.
She would feel bad if the crown prince were to have improved because of their doing. Little did she know that the crown prince never got his hands on the Spatial ring with all the mana stones inside. The woman, who pursued them for the last few months was in possession of the said spatial ring, after all!
"I don't think so. But even if that's the case, it is not our fault. If not for us, others would have sold mana stones to the seventh prince," Kyle spoke in a calm voice that prevented Selene from escalating.
They were currently located in a small city bordering the Nasga race's tribal territory. There weren't many cities in that area and all of them had knit-tight protective measurements. Every now in a while, the Nasgas from the tribal territory attacked them because it was some sort of traditional event every matured Nasga had to join.
The ceremony was not something the Glacia kingdom was scared about as long as there was no monstrous existence in the rows of the Nasga race's attackers. Otherwise, a bunch of Aldra may die.
However, this didn't happen often, which was also the reason why the Glacia kingdom didn't do anything. The death of a few Aldra may be devastating, but starting war against an entire race was not worth it. Too many would die.
By strengthening their defenses, more Nasga would die every single time a maturity ceremony was held than Aldra. The Glacia kingdom's means to take revenge was to kill as many Nasga when the ceremony happened and to make sure that none of their own people died.
Because of that, the city they had entered was filled with powerful Cultivators. Almost everyone was powerful and at the Krysal stage.
But that was not all. Their equipment was great as well, which was owed to the high number of Blacksmiths, Alchemists, and Rune inscribers in the city.
Kyle liked this the most, simply because he was sure to get his hands on a perfect place to lodge for the next few months until Arashi was to start and finish his evolution.
During the last few weeks, the number of souls Kyle and Arashi had collected exceeded 100,000 by far. Kyle was not even sure how many beasts at the Krysal stage they had killed, but there had been a total of 4 badly injured Acerta stage beasts, which Kyle killed.
Their souls were absorbed and the energy was used to nourish Arashi. In a matter of weeks, Arashi's evolution path was close to being filled to the brim.
This was what Kyle was currently waiting for. The Starbreaker Katana was overflowing with souls that could be used to activate the Nurture ability.
However, Kyle's nurture ability was already activated, and he used it on the evolution path of Arashi whenever he could.
Something blocked him from filling the evolution path immediately, and only slow nourishment seemed to work out. This was somewhat annoying but it was not as if it would change anything. Currently, Beatrice, Yasmine, and Selene wanted to improve their strength.
Simultaneously, they wanted to start practicing their lifestyle occupations once again. This was very important because they found out something quite unique about the forbidden forest.
There was a legend about the forbidden forest. The legend was already tens of thousand years old and the only existence within the Shalivra valley, who could deny or approve the legend was the Guild Master.
He was mentioned in the legend, which Jaden had told them. Their youngest member had found a few interesting books in the library of the border city. They had planned to compile some information about the forbidden forest so that they wouldn't enter the place without knowing anything.
But even with the information at hand, the entire place became only more mysterious.
"Those, who survive the forbidden forest will break their limits. Some may reach unattainable strength, while others will gain traits stronger than anyone else. Once the Gates open, the path to the palace of the fallen gods will be unveiled," Jaden had once mumbled when he read through the book he took from the library.
It talked about a place called the "Fallen Olympus" but the majority of the content written within was utter nonsense, and written in numerous different languages.
The book felt like it had been written by a drunkard, who wanted to make fun of other people.
Nonetheless, something about the book irked all of them. Thus, they took it seriously when they reached the house they would lodge for the next few months.
"Forget about the book for now. This place is perfect," Kyle said, slapping Jaden's back in acknowledgment.
There was a smithy, an alchemist's room, and a small room to inscribe runes in the house. It had everything they needed and much more.
The backyard looked like it was perfect to train one's combat techniques and spar.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThere were many training grounds in proximity, which could all be used in exchange for a small fee.
Everything they needed was in their grasp, even time itself. They had more than enough time to do whatever they wanted to.
Kyle immediately went to the smithy to take a look at it.
He was the most interested in starting to forge once again. It would definitely be interesting to do so. Cultivating was not feasible for him the moment Arashi would start evolving. The only advantage Kyle had was the fact that Arashi would still replenish the Soul force faster than the natural replenishment. That was if Kyle wanted this to happen.
But this was unlikely because Arashi's evolution would take longer.
His used up Soul force would naturally replenish but it was not possible for him to cultivate all by himself.
'Well whatever, I can still practice all techniques, and improve my forging skills!' Kyle thought, feeling extremely calm.
However, Jaden didn't look that calm. He was still reading through the book "Fallen Olympus" with a frown on his face.
"It won't be like that, right?"
