Chapter 1442
Galen's words made Lily realize that if even a young child could notice, others might too.
After thinking about this, she turned and looked at him. "Then let's not go to Grandpa's house. Mommy
will bring you somewhere else before going there, okay?"
"Okay!" It didn't matter where they went as long as he could get there to play.
Lily smiled. "You're so adorable!"
With that, she started the car, adjusted her seat, and glanced into the rearview mirror at the front door.
No one was there, and the closed door made the house look deserted.
She looked away and said, "Hold on tight!" Then she drove off.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLily took Galen for a morning stroll before going to the mall. They came out with several bags of clothes
and a bunch of toys. She even bought a few art pieces, filling the trunk to the brim.
Galen's mouth dropped when he saw the stuffed trunk. "Wow!"
He couldn't find the words to say.
"Are you happy?" Lily smiled.
"Happy!" He nodded vigorously and pointed at the toys. "Are you going away for a long time?"
"How do you know?" This kid was starting to surprise her. He caught on to all the small details.
"There's so many!" However, he wasn't good at expressing how he felt yet.
Lily understood what he meant. He wanted to say that for her to buy him so many toys and food, it was
obvious that they were going to go on a long trip.
He was an intelligent child but was too young to protect himself.
She wouldn't have flown over if it weren't because of how strange Alexander's situation was. She
needed to see for herself to feel at ease. The situation at Burnwken was too uncertain and had the
potential to be dangerous. Therefore, she couldn't take Galen with her.
"You're right, but it hasn't been decided yet, so don't tell anyone, okay?"
Pulling the hat on his head, he softly nodded, "Okay."
He wouldn't if his mother told him not to say a word.
After a simple lunch, Galen was starting to get drowsy. He struggled to keep his eyes open and, in the
end, lost the battle. Lily carefully looked around to ensure no one was following her before she started
the car and drove toward Dominic's house.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe little guy slept in the back seat throughout the entire journey. He was still fast asleep when they got
to Dominic's place. Ultimately, Lily had to pick him up and pop the trunk open before getting the maids
to bring the things she had bought into the house.
Dominic was taking a nap, but he heard that Lily was outside. He quickly put on his slippers and ruffled
his hair before coming out.
He rubbed his eyes and yelled as he walked, "You little b*stard, you won't even let me rest. What kind
of drugs are you on to come and visit me every two days-"
He stopped his words when he saw the little boy on Lily's shoulders. "H-He ...why is he here again?"
The latter sentence was said in such a shallow voice that he almost bit his tongue.
However, he hurried over to help. "Quickly put him down. It must be so uncomfortable to sleep like
that."
Galen let out a soft groan of displeasure. "Mm...noisy..."
