Chapter 1447
"It's fine. He's not heavy!" Dominic spun around twice to show that the child wasn't heavy.
"Aren't you afraid of hurting your back?"
"My back is fine. I'm way stronger than you young people!" The old man grinned happily. Although he
would often complain about Galen, he secretly loved Galen from the bottom of his heart. Otherwise, he
would not have protected Galen over and over again.
Shaking her head, Lily had no choice but to let the two play.
Dominic noticed that she seemed better and did not ask any more questions. Instead, he walked
around the house and into the backyard with Galen on his shoulders.
Lily, worried that Dominic might hurt himself, trailed behind them.
The backyard was filled with all kinds of herbs, stretching as far as the eye could see. This place was a

"Did you use everything you took from me a few days ago?" Dominic asked calmly as he stared into
the distance.
Lily glanced at him. "Yes.”
"How is it?"
'Pretty good. In a few more days, the toxins should be flushed out.
However, the after-effects would still linger. It isn't that easy. There's still a long way to go, so I'm taking
it one step at a time." She sighed. "Well, at least we’ve solved the cause of the problem."
The medicinal herbs that poisoned Anastasia had been removed, and the whole house had been
cleansed and purified. Lily even went over to check, making sure that there was no longer any strange
smell in the air. Only then did she feel relieved.
However, she still had to find out who wanted to poison Anastasia and the purpose behind using such a
long, non-lethal poison. Lily just had too many things on her plate, and she did not have time to look
into it yet.
"What about your lab?" Dominic was concerned about her, although he barely asked any questions. He
remembered everything she had told him.
"Didn't Austin restore all the data? I haven't visited the lab yet. They might still be conducting the
experiments." Lily originally wanted to destroy the database, but there were many things she would
have to consider. Even if she destroyed all her data, others still had records of the experiment.
Although the notes might be incomplete with the data destroyed, what about the researchers who did
the experiments with her? She could not have them all killed.
As long as these people were determined to continue this experiment, there was no stopping them.
"Have you given up?" Dominic turned to look at her when he heard the discouragement in her voice.
"You don't seem like someone who would give up so easily."

gut feeling that there’s something off about this whole thing, but I have no conclusive evidence. What
are they going to do? There's nothing for me to report."
It wasn't that she hadn't thought about taking this to the police, but it did not make sense. This
laboratory was also not run solely by Thompson.
Who knew who was backing him up?
Dominic did not ask any more questions and continued to play with Galen. It was a picturesque scene;
an old man with a child while his mother stood aside.
"Don't you think things have been too coincidental recently?" Lily asked quietly after a moment of
silence.
"Huh?" Dominic was a little surprised and turned to look at her as if he didn't quite understand what she
meant.
"All of these. Could it be that they're all connected? Everything seems too coincidental." Lily began to
wonder.
