argument.Helen was worried Lily’s actions earlier would cause harm to the child.

Lily had no choice but to do that, as severe food allergies could cause anaphylaxis.

hospital.

Sounds of rapid footsteps came from the other end of the corridor.

It sounded like leather shoes slapping against the hard, tiled floor.

Before Lily could turn and look at the source of the sound, she saw Helen freeze with a horrified

expression on her face.
