She looked at him in confusion and he said, “Don’t let your friend believe that we don’t look like we’re married.”

Fia felt awkward but still made herself smile.

She didn’t want Lola to think that she had no place in this household

at all.

“Con, Lola. Let’s go to the dining room to have dinner together.”
