“Once we're inside, go and sit somewhere quiet to wait out the party. Don’t wander around,” Marcus instructed sternly. Millie pouted.

Millie was taken aback at first, but she quickly plastered a sweet smile on her face and approached the woman. “Hello, Grandma.” As Millie ccloser, Claudia gave her a thorough once-over.
