“No. My calf just feels sore from standing for long,” she answered without even looking at him, her lips stubbornly pressed together.

“He wanted a design sketch fromand I decided to give it to him since he saved my grandma. That’s the only reason he’s texting me,” she explained and rested her head on Marcus’ shoulder. He was stiff and cold at first. Even when she hugged him tight, he was still cold.

Although she understood his anger, Millie was a little confused. Why would Marcus have such a drastic reaction just because of a message from Leon?

Marcus was pleasantly stunned by her action. This meant she could tell he was not happy and wanted to please him.
