126 Accompany Kalea In The VIP Room
Two days later, Angela came back to the hospital to see Kalea. With a wall face, although in her heart she was ashamed and annoyed at suddenly caring about Kalea, she still had to meet the girl.
Yesterday, Kalea regained consciousness and was moved to the VIP inpatient room. In the room, Angela guessed that only her mother was there. Of course, her brother has to work, maybe he will come later tonight. Take turns with the mother to look after Kalea. Angela had time to think about how and where the girl’s family lived because no one came to visit Kalea. However, she did not want to ask Arthur that directly.
Angela was still standing in front of the door of the room where Kalea was hospitalized. Her mind was still trying to decide whether she should go in there or not. And while she was still busy with her thoughts, Angela did not notice that the door was even opened from the inside.
“Dear? Did you come here?” Aquila asked, surprised to see her youngest child in the hospital.
“Th-that, I just happened to be here! I went to see Mrs. Harley to ask for my study book recommendation,” Angela lied, trying to reason something logically in front of her mother.
“Oh, is that so? And now you want to accompany me to look after Lea?” Aquila smiled meaningfully, making Angela stutter and before Angela could answer, Aquila grabbed her daughter’s arm to enter the room.
As a result, Angela was really in Kalea’s room.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Lea, Angela is coming!” Aquila exclaimed hysterically, making Kalea who was eating an apple turn to the two women. Her hazel eyes met Angela’s purple eyes.
Kalea smiled weakly and then said, “Hi, Miss Jefferson.”
.....
“Uhm, yes,” Angela said, turning her face to the side.
Aquila pulled her daughter’s arm to sit on the sofa near Kalea’s bed. She also gave Angela another piece of apple. “Please eat, you must be tired of coming here, right?”
“I-I’m fine, Mom,” Angela said, but she happily accepted the apple slice.
“I’m really relieved that you’re okay, it felt like my heart stopped beating when I saw you fall,” Aquila said, not wanting to remember the fateful incident anymore. “You too, dear. If you’re still sick, there’s no need to force yourself. You can give permission not to study first, Angela,” Aquila said, worried about the daughter.
Angela smiled slightly, she shook her head slowly. “I’m fine. My injuries are minor anyway, unlike her,” Angela said as she turned back to Kalea. “Have you been here long, Mom?”
“Since this morning, replacing Arthur. Lea just woke up this morning and was immediately transferred here. Actually, your dad wanted to come too, but he has a meeting with his friends and can’t be canceled.”
Angela just nodded her head in understanding. While Aquila again enjoyed talking with Kalea.
In fact, she realized that she was really jealous of Kalea. In just a short time, the girl was able to attract the attention of her family. Angela could not understand how her parents could love Kalea so much for a girl whose origins were unknown. Moreover, Kalea is Arthur’s sugar baby and she has tricked her with five million dollars. Angela was sure that if Aquila and Albern found out, they would hate Kalea a lot.
Should she just tell her mother about it now?
“Mom-”
Aquila’s cell phone rang, and the woman immediately picked up the phone call, making Angela unable to continue her words.
“Wait a minute, Dear,” Aquila said as she left to talk to the person on the other end of the phone.
Angela leaned back on the sofa, waiting for her mother to finish. And not long after, Aquila came back in a hurry to make Angela a little surprised.
“What’s wrong, Mom?” Angela asked as she watched her mother again, wearing her fur coat and carrying a bag. “Mom, where are you going?”
“Dear, I forgot that the cooking community has been waiting for you! Can you replace me here to look after Kalea?” Aquila asked, holding her daughter’s shoulders with a hopeful look.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“E-eh? How- how could you forget there was such a schedule?” Angela asked in disbelief, she will be left alone with Kalea in a bit.
“I can only think of the two of you from yesterday!” Aquila replied, pointing at Kalea and Angela. “You can do it, right? Just stay here until your brother comes tonight,” Aquila pleaded.
“Ma’am, I’m okay here alone, really,” Kalea said, as if she understood that Angela would not want to do Aquila’s request.
“No! You can’t be alone, Lea. Arthur will also be very worried if he finds out about it,” Aquila said firmly, she looked back at her daughter. “Dear, can’t you do it for Mom?”
Angela closed her eyes briefly and nodded in resignation. She could not refuse at all if it was like this. “All right, Mom. Leave it to me.”
The corners of Aquila’s lips lifted, she smiled widely and hugged her daughter tightly. “Thanks, Honey! You’re really reliable!” Aquila exclaimed happily while kissing the top of Angela’s head. “Then I’ll go first. Lea, you should get better soon, Dear.” Aquila turned to hug Kalea gently and was careful not to hurt the girl.
“Be careful, Ma’am.”
“Be careful, Mom,” Angela said with a faint smile plastered on her face, and she waved as Aquila began to move away and out of the room.
Now, only she and Kalea were in the room. Angela did not know what to do, even though before that she had intended to find an opportunity to speak directly to Kalea, but for some reason, her tongue felt numb.
“Is there something you wanted to talk to me about?” Kalea asked suddenly voice made Angela a little surprised.
“H-huh?”
Kalea looked at Angela so seriously that the other person suddenly could not do anything before the girl continued her words.
“You didn’t come here for no reason, did you? Did you come to apologize, or- to make me suffer even more?”
