Chapter 225
There were plenty of restaurants near Foxtail Garden, so Larissa assumed Kevan would randomly
choose one for dinner. However, he drove past the bustling street and continued until they arrived at
Microworks Building.
That left her confused. “Are we going to the office to work overtime?”
He ignored her question. He simply pulled out the key, opened the door, and stepped out of the car. He
then walked around to the passenger side and reached out as she opened the door.
She hesitated for a moment before she cautiously took his hand. He smiled slightly. His fingers gently
enclosed hers. He noticed that her hand was significantly smaller than his
“Come with me.”
The building remained brightly illuminated even though it was the New Year holiday and the
time was past 6 pm. The vigilant and energetic security guard on the ground floor showed no signs of

“The 70th floor?” She couldn’t help but wonder if he had accidentally pressed the wrong button.
because his office was clearly on the 69th floor. If she recalled correctly, the 70th floor housed the
panoramic observation tower at the summit of the Microworks Building.
“Yes,” he casually replied.
She asked excitedly. “Are we going to see the city skyline at night?”
On her first visit, Dylan had mentioned that the panoramic observation tower offered a view of the
entire city. However, it was said to be accessible only to a select few high–ranking executives of
Microworks Corporation, so no photos were circulating on the Internet from the tower’s summit.
He responded to her excitement with a simple “Yes” and maintained a calm expression. His gaze
shifted slightly upwards and fixed on the ever–changing numbers displayed electronically. The elevator
ascended swiftly, causing a brief ringing sensation in her ears. However, the discomfort vanished the
moment the elevator doors opened.
“Wow!” She couldn’t help but exclaim in awe.
Like the elevator, the interior of the observation tower was constructed entirely with transparent glass,
from the ceiling to the walls and even the floor. She could clearly see the crescent moon. suspended in
the night sky and the faintly shimmering stars. They seemed within arm’s reach as if she could simply
stretch out and touch them. She took a step forward and nearly startled herself when she looked down
Below, numerous individuals continued to toil in the offices. In that instant, she experienced a sensation
of standing above their heads, her body seemingly suspended in mid–air.
Thankfully, she didn’t suffer from a severe fear of heights. Still, she couldn’t help but worry. “Will we
disturb their work by being up here? If they happen to look up, will they see us?”
“No,” he reassured her, tightening his grip on her hand as he led her forward. “The panoramic
observation tower is made of one–way transparent glass on all four sides. That means you can see

the people below, but they can’t see you. Just treat it as if you were standing on a regular concrete
floor. There’s no need to feel any pressure.”
They gradually approached the center of the observation tower. Elaborate crystal chandeliers hung
from above, casting a radiant light that illuminated the entire floor as if it were daytime. Directly beneath
the chandeliers was a dining table adorned with a vibrant red rose in a crystal vase.
Suddenly, melodious music began playing, and the curtains behind the dining table slowly
opened, revealing a grand classical orchestra! A man dressed in a black tailcoat energetically waved
his conductor’s baton, and the other members of the orchestra followed his lead, playing the music
passionately
“This “Larissa was completely dumbfounded by the spectacle unfolding before her. However, he merely
smiled as he pulled a chair closer to them, inviting her to sit down.
“This is the first time I’ve been married, so I thought we should celebrate,” he casually explained.
While she could understand his desire to celebrate, the grandeur of this celebration seemed
overwhelming. And to make matters worse, he hadn’t even informed her in advance! Glancing at her
casual attire, she felt completely out of place in this luxurious setting.
