Chapter 292
The resentment and inexplicable Jealousy that Larissa lell earlier was quickly forgotten.
Larissa refocused her mindset. She was merely a tool hired by Kevan to appease his parents so that
they would not continue pressuring him to get married. His past with other women didn’t maller
because it had nothing to do with her.
While feeling relieved, Violet also felt bad for Larissa.
“Lari, Kevan never speaks his mind, so he ollen gets misunderstood, Please be more considerate and
understanding towards him. If he does anything to upset you, let me apologize on his behall.”
Larissa gave a breezy laugh, “No, he didn’t upset me at all. I know the kind of person he s: otherwise. I
wouldn’t have agreed to marry him.”
“That’s a reliet.” Viclet patted her hand and sighed deeply. “Revan is so fortunate to have such an
understanding wife like you!”

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Larissa and Viclet in his room. Raising an eyebrow in surprise,
he asked in a surly lone. “What are you doing in my room?”
“I brought Lari to your room and told her about your childhood stories,” Violet said.
Kevan scanned the room and frowned suddenly. “Did you rummage through my things again?”

Fearing Kewan’s wrath, Violet quickly made up an excuse and left leaving Larissa alone with Kevan
Kevan closed the door and lumed to Larissa. “What stories did my mother tell you?”
Larissa lowered her gaze. “Nothing.”
Staring at her for a few seconds, Kevan finally looked away without probing further.
“We’ll be sleeping in the same room tonight,” he said.
Since Larissa had made the decision to come, she had prepared hersell beforehand for this to happen.
Kevan’s bed was huge. If they were to sleep on either side, there would be a space wide enough for
another person between them.
“Alright,” she replied scitly.
Kevan opened the wardrobe. He look out a set of pajamas and handed it to Larissa, “I don’t have any
clothes that fit you here. Wear my pajamas for now. Tomorrow morning I have someone go buy you
some new clothes.”
Larissa held his pajamas to her chest. “Thank you.”

“You can go take a shower now.” Kevan continued.
His bedroom had its own bathroom. Since Kevan rarely came back home, Violet prepared brand-new
toiletries for him, so Larissa could use those as well.
After taking a shower, she changed into Kevan’s pajamas, which were obviously too bla for her.
Larissa had to roll the sleeves and pant legs high up to expose her wrists and ankles.
She opened the bathroom door and called out, “Kevan, where’s the hairdryer?”
Her cheeks were flushed from the hot steamy shower, and her hair was still wel.
Drops of water dripped onto her chest, and the thin pajama labric clung to her skin, showing all her
curves.
Kevan’s eyes smoldered as he stared at Larissa.
Striding past her, he caught a faint whiff of a minty fragrance, which further aroused his desire.
His blood boiled with lust as his pent-up frustrations eased slightly.
Tuming on his heel, he walked towards Larissa and scooped her up in his arms.
