Chapter 909
“Sure! Larissa agreed, but she was already thinking of how she would sneak away when the time came to give
Marilyn and Lewis the space they needed by then.
“Larissa, you’re the best!” Marilyn hugged Larissa’s arm and leaned heavily against her affectionately.
15:48
After work, Larissa was worried that it would be too obvious if she dragged a huge suitcase with her when she left.
So, she purposely waited until everyone had left before she went to knock on Lewis‘ office door.
He was stil sitting at his table, staring coldly at his laptop.
“I came to get the stuff.” Larissa pointed at the suitcase Lewis had put in the corner of the

Lewis grunted as he finally looked away from the laptop screen and took off the glasses he was wearing. He rubbed
his forehead tiredly. “What’s wrong?” Larissa turned to him immediately and went up to him. “Is it very difficult?”
“A little.” Lewis sighed softly. “Moorewell has not only billered our clients, now they’re trying to piller our people
from the marketing department
Seeing Larissa’s worried look, Lewis quickly comlerled her. “The higher–ups in the markeling department were
promoted by me. They can be considered my most trusted people. They won’t belray us so easily.”
Lewis career was not so smooth. Although Gary wanted to train him to take over the company, he did not want to
give the company to Lewis so soon until he was sure of Lewis‘ ability. So when Lewis entered Blue Star after
graduation, he worked his way up from the bottom of the marketing department.
Lewis‘ ability was better than the average person’s. Within just two years, he was able to rise up to the position of
director of the marketing department. He led the others under him to make great contributions to the company.
Once Lewis had stabilized himself in the marketing department and trained a batch of people loyal to him, Gary
only promoted him slowly until he was an executive assistant
“Although a few of our major clients are gone, we still have a good deal of orders on our hands. At least, we can still
hold for the first half of this year,” Lewis said as he gazed at Larissa. “In other words, you only have four months
leh.”
Larissa lelt the pressure on her shoulders grow heavier.
“Alright, hurry up and go. Aster’s still waiting for you to go pick him up!” Lewis rushed her.
Larissa pressed her Ips tightly together, but she did not go. Kevan would pick Aster up, so she was not in a rush.
“Are you going to work overtime?” She asked Lewis.

“Yeah.” Lewis glanced at the time on the bottom right comer of the laptop screen. “I’ve stil got some things to do. I
can probably only leave at 8 pm.”
“I join you!” Larissa put down the suitcase. “You can give me some of your work.”
“No need. You only delay me here.” Lewis refused her kindness. “Hurry up and go. don’t let Aster wait! And your
friend, aren’t you worried that she’s home alone?”
Larissa was silent for a moment, then she left with the suitcase under Lewis‘ scorn.
The elevator arrived. The doors just opened and Marilyn rushed out of it.
“Larissa? Why are you only leaving now?” Marilyn stopped as she stared at the suitcase behind Larissa. She asked
in confusion, “Isn’t this Mr. Logan Junior’s suitcase?”
Larissa did not expect Marilyn to run into her like that and see it. After a few secords of panic, Larissa led calmly, “I
just finished the tasks Mr. Logan Junior gave me. This suitcase is lilled with his dirty clothes from his business trip. He
told me to send them to be dry cleaned.” She was Lewis‘ assistant. It was normal for her to help him out with some
private mallers.
