The Alpha's Slave Mate

Daphne's Point of View | could have strangled Caleb for disappearing with the guys. While | would have been perfectly content to sit and talk with almost everyone at the table, | was not happy that Melissa and Heather were still here. For a few moments we had peace, all of the ladies were getting along, and it was nice.

“This is boring we should go into the town and hit up the nightclub.” Heather's nasally voice reached me.

“Oh, a nightclub, that could be fun girls.” Lola was a free spirit, and this does seem like something up her alley.

“We do have a rather early day tomorrow ladies, and | do not think that our men would find it a good idea to be out in the club so late. Heather since you are unmated perhaps, we could send a warrior with you and your packs Beta to the club instead?” | was relieved that Scarlett thought of a good solution. | would not be comfortable in a nightclub, especially without Caleb. Looking at Alma and Winona | can tell that the thought of a club made them uncomfortable as well.

“] do not need a Beta to protect| can handle myself. Perhaps | should ask Alpha Cole to accompany me?” Heather thought out loud.

“Alpha Cole has made it abundantly clear that you are not his mate, and he is not interested.” The words slipped out before | could stop them. | hate that she turnsinto this petty revenge seeking woman that | am acting like.

“In that case perhaps | should ask Caleb to go with me. Then he could see how a real woman would treat him.” Those words were enough to sendover the edge. | let out a roar jumping from my seat, no longer caring who else was in the room. | jumped on the table and shifted halfway through my jump. The table was buckling from the weight of my wolf, but | no longer cared.

| was seeing red, and all | could think about was snapping Heather's neck. Every tthat she hurtran through my brain and | ran towards her.

“DAPHNE DOWN" Caleb burst in at the last minute and demanded. | stopped my stalking unable to disobey his command. He has never used his Alpha voice on me, and it stung that he has now. Scarlett was kind enough to wrap a long tablecloth aroundtoga style as | shifted back into my human form.

“What in the hell is going on?” “Why the hell is your feral wife attacking my daughter?” Caleb and Noah are both shouting. Heather is cowering and acting tic behind her mother. The entire scene is pathetic. Anger is still coursing through my body, and | am close to losing my cool again.

“SILENCE” Caleb was once again yelling in his Alpha command voice. Instantly everyone quieted, and no one dared moved. “Now that | have everyone's attention, | would like an unbiased recount of what happened here.” Caleb was smart to say unbiased because it means that he does not want to hear from either Heather or me.

“Alpha Caleb if | may speak.” Surprisingly it was Winona's soft voice that was requesting his attention. Although her and | are not close, | have no idea if she has any ties to Heather.

“You may speak.” Caleb gives her permission.

“| caught everything on video.” She looks down in embarrassment. | watch as Alma comforts her, but | am confused as to why. “I was attacked when | was barely a pup and | lost part of my hearing. | know that as wolves we normally have phenomenal hearing, so it is something that is an embarrassment to me.” | watch as Winona opens up about her vulnerability, and | feel bad that she did so to protect me.

“You know | was not hurt.” Heather is quick to pipe up. “l am sure we do not need to bother the men with our silly little situation. | mean we are women; we get hormonal at times.” “Nonsense this feral creature tried to attack you the moment we left. | demand that she be locked in a cage while we are here, that way | do not have to fear for your life.” Alpha Noah is smug thinking that he has the right to make demands of Caleb.

“Feral creature, the only thing feral is your daughter's hormones.” Scarlett is baring her teeth ready to rip them apart as well.

“Winona | would very much like to see the video please.” | wait as Caleb watches and hears the entire situation. His face is practically made of stone as | watch him view the video entirely. | watch Alpha Noah take a step back as he comes to realize that his daughter initiated the entire fight and that | was well within my limits as Luna.

“You will immediately leave the presence of my wife. You will retrieve your personal items and leave my house tonight. You will not step foot upon my pack soil again or else you will be seen as a threat and executed.” Caleb stares directly at Heather to ensure that she understands his commands directly.

“Alpha Caleb | think that you are being a bit harsh, | am sure that it was just teenage rage.” Noah tries to stand up for his daughter.

“Alpha Noah this is a warning to you as well. Our relationship is strained at best. Since your arrival your daughter has tried to insult my mate, and the Luna of this pack several times. | have asked you to reign in your hell spawn and you have failed to head my warnings. You have less than an hour to get her off of my pack lands or | will end her life myself, am | clear?” Caleb's voice is colder than ice, and even | do not dare approach him.

“We have an alliance thought.” Noah stammers out.

“Yes, we have an alliance that | made, and your child has broken. She has no manners and has repeatedly offended my mate. By my own packs rules my Luna has every right to end her life right now if she should choose. Be grateful that | am giving you the opportunity to remove her from my territory.” Melissa is already ushering her shocked daughter out of the dining room as Caleb explains where | stand to Noah.

“] understand. | will send her himmediately accompanied by my soldier Shawn.” Noah bows his head in compliance.

“| already have Brandon retrieving one of your vehicles.” Theo tells Noah, who shakes his head in acknowledgement.

“Well, | do think this has been enough for one night. May | suggest the rest of us retire for the evening so that we may be fresh for morning. Daphne, | wish to speak to you in our room now.” | bow my head at Caleb’s words knowing that even though | was within my rights | have caused a huge stir.

| know that he has every right to be upset with me. | wish the other ladies a goodnight as | walk solemnly to our bedroom.
