On the first day of freshmen enrollment, there were no restrictions imposed by the dormitory management
regarding male entry into the female dormitory. The four of them proceeded to Room 301 on the third floor of the
dormitory.
As soon as the door swung open, Lisa couldn’t contain her excitement and exclaimed, “Oh my God, the atmosphere
in this dormitory is incredible, don’t you think?”
Despite the dormitory having an area exceeding 50 square meters, there were only two bunk beds present, each
with a bed on the top and a desk below. Furthermore, the dormitory featured two combined wardrobes equipped
with combination locks, as well as an independent bathroom complete with a shower.
Undeniably, this environment was far superior to the standard student dormitories found elsewhere in the
university.
Taken aback by Lisa’s exclamation, Claudia wore a look of surprise as she surveyed the room, asking with curiosity,

right? There isn’t even a common area.”
In Claudia’s understanding, university dormitories in Canada and the United States typically began with at least a
double room, and some dormitories even resembled shared suites. Each of the four residents would have their own
individual rooms, along with a communal living room and kitchen. Therefore, the ordinary double room in front of
her was indeed ordinary to Claudia.
When Lisa entered university, she had no knowledge of the living standards in Canada.
Perplexed by Claudia’s remark about the absence of a living room in the dormitory, Lisa asked, “Why would a
dormitory need a living room?”
Jagoan chimed in with a smile, “Lisa, keep in mind that Claudia grew up in Canada. There are likely many
differences between the schools in our respective countries. Moreover, Canada has a vast land area and a sparse
population, resulting in more resources per capita. Therefore, there is no need for school dormitories to have four,
six, or even eight-person rooms.”
Smiling, Lisa responded, “I remember our time in the orphanage. There were over ten children and an aunt living in
the same room, packed with belongings. Each of us only had our own set of small quilts and pillows. To have eight
people in a dormitory with their own beds, even if it’s just the upper or lower bunk, is wonderful. Seeing this
dormitory for two people, I find the environment quite impressive.”
Mrs. Lewis interjected, “Let’s stop chatting and quickly help Claudia make her bed. We should also check what else
is missing and head straight to the supermarket later.”
Claudia hastily replied, “Auntie, I can handle it myself!”
Mrs. Lewis laughed and said, “Of course, parents usually take care of these things for their kids.”
As she spoke, she stepped forward to assist Claudia in unpacking the new bedding and skillfully spread it on
Claudia’s bed alongside Lisa.
Once the bed was neatly arranged, Mrs. Lewis posed a question to the trio, “Should we grab a bite to eat first, or

Jagoan pondered for a moment and suggested, “Let’s head to the school cafeteria around noon to see if Claudia
can adjust to the food there. Afterward, we can visit the supermarket to purchase some daily essentials.”
While speaking, Jagoan suddenly felt a peculiar sensation in his pants pocket. He realized that the ring was acting
up again, this marked the third time it had exhibited such behavior.
He was taken aback as he sensed the ring’s increasingly vigorous vibrations.
Previously, the ring would sporadically tremble a couple of times before returning to stillness. However, this time it
resembled an exploding candy, bouncing with intensifying frenzy. Its motion showed no signs of stopping.
Jagoan instinctively covered his pocket with his hand, feeling the relentless pounding in his palm.
Just as he was perplexed by the situation, a somewhat familiar voice rang out, “Hello, is this Room 301?”
Jagoan recognized the voice to some extent and subconsciously turned around to catch a glimpse of the
approaching individual. Instantly, his eyes widened, and he stood there motionless, lost in astonishment.
