133 Binge eating and drinking
When Zi Xingxi said she was ordering food she meant she was ordering a feast. One look at that table filled with food you couldn’t understand where the fuck all that food was going to go.
It was like having Thanksgiving dinner enough to feed nine heads but it was for two people. She even took things to a whole new level ordering only spicy meals. She had hot glass noodles with soft-boiled eggs and fried tofu balls, chili enoki mushrooms, Korean rice cake, spicy fried chicken, etc.
To be frank, it was like she was planning on having a mukbang. This wasn’t the first time they had done this but it had been over two years since they last binge ate with no restraint.
“Ma, are you trying to burn a hole in my stomach,” asked Zi Han but he was already picking up a pair of chopsticks to eat.
Zi Xingxi grabbed a bottle of yogurt and placed it in front of him. “You are complaining yet you are the one that eats the most,” she said with a beaming smile.
Zi Han pushed back the bottle of yogurt and poured out a glass of wine for the both of them. “Let’s go crazy tonight,” he said as he handed her the glass.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtZi Xingxi wasn’t comfortable with the idea of him drinking this much but she let it slide considering what he had been through today. She sensed that he was hiding something from her but she couldn’t pry it out of him.
She could only figure out another way to find out what happened in that alley before Yi Chen rescued him.
These two were slender but they managed to demolish the entire table of food and still had the energy to sing karaoke until their voices were hoarse.
.....
By the time the evening ended they were so drunk that Zi Xingxi became an emotional mess cursing this An person to the high heavens. It was the first time Zi Xingxi actually called out her husband’s name in front of Zi Han.
But because he was also drunk there was a great chance he wouldn’t remember it. Rubbing his watery eyes he asked, “Why do you hate them so much? Did they scam you or some, something like that? AH! I don’t know what I am saying.” He covered his flushed face with a couch cushion his eyes seeing doubles.
Zi Xingxi chuckled while struggling to sit up straight. “He scammed me..... he scammed me out of my first kiss..... scammed me into marrying him that is after... after he deliberately refused to pull out and made me.... fat. Then he fuckin left me,” she said feeling disgruntled and the sad music playing in the background didn’t help the situation.
“He is a con man. A fuckin scam artist... Why did you have to leave me behind, when you promised you would be here forever-,” she said before she sang along with the soppy lyrics in the background. It was both depressing and sad at the same time.
“Ma....ma.... ma.....,” said Zi Han patting her foot , or at least he thought he was.
“..... you are a liar and a chea-, what?” she responded cutting off her now croaky voice.
Zi Han giggled before saying, “You sound like, like a dog with a bone stuck in its throat AHahahaha hahahaha.”
“Why you little...,” she said before throwing a cushion in his face. Zi Han leaned back laughing his ass off while his mother kept singing like her very life depended on it.
After much crocking and laughing the room soon fell into silence with the music playing at a low volume.
Zi Xingxi lay on the couch facing the ceiling her expression blank. She began to open up even more. “I miss him so much..... he would have loved to meet you... Why did he leave me? He promised he would never leave *sob,” she said in a low voice before turning to her side and broke down crying.
Despite seeing her like this before Zi Han was so heartbroken. His mother was strong and never showed her vulnerable side. It was only when she was drunk that she would be like this. Zi Han just got up and embraced her while gently stroking her hair.
Zi Xingxi’s body relaxed like putty in his embrace and let it all out without any restraint. She probably won’t remember this tomorrow but this cry was pretty much necessary and Zi Han was willing to lend her a shoulder.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWhenever he saw his mother breaking apart like this he would become even more certain that he didn’t want to fall in love. This was just too painful. It was indeed a sad ending to an eventful day.

Beep! Beep beep! Beep!
“Argh..... what is that?” whispered a groggy Zi Xingxi as she pulled up her quilt.
“Mum..... shut it off. I am sle.....,” murmured Zi Han with his head buried underneath his pillow.
The beeping didn’t stop and it was accompanied by the dinging sound of notifications on their light brains but apart from low groans and grunts, these two didn’t wake up.
With a swoosh, the hotel door opened and a livid Zi Feiji appeared. These two brats had the audacity not to come home for the entire night. Yes sure, he had told Zi Han not to come home but he didn’t mean it. He was just saying it out of anger but out of all the things he said to them this was the thing they took seriously and actually listened?
He told Zi Han to stay away from Yi Chen but like his mother, he went straight into the fire. After waiting all night for them with an ugly expression he was mad as hell and grumpy too. Thus he tracked them down ready to reprimand them but it was so much worse than he thought.
These two binge ate spicy food and drank all night without him. He also wanted to binge on spicy food and drink alcohol but he wasn’t even invited. And how did he know what they did last night? He pried it out of the employee at the service desk. One bark and she was squeaking like a frightened mouse.
