311 You better make sure I am dead because I won’t stop...
Her lower back leaning on the kitchen counter she asked again, “Why aren’t you two in bed?”
Yi Youxi hurriedly answered, “Dad made us a banana split and brought us Temple adventures for us to watch together. Let’s go Ming Ming. Let’s go set up the system,” with a sly ‘cat in the hat’ type of smile as he picked up his and Ming Ming’s bowl.
Marshal Yi, “...”
He was starting to think he gave birth to a little devil.
“Mn, I also want to watch it. Go on,” she said waving her hand with her nails painted pearl white dazzling under the kitchen island pendant lights.
As soon as they left Lin Ruoxi patted her husband’s arm and kissed his cheek before sheepishly saying, “Let’s go.”
Marshal Yi, “...”
That woman had taken a sleeping pill powerful enough to knock out an elephant yet here she was walking around. Seriously?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIn the end, the Marshal had to watch a movie he really didn’t want to watch and take care of his kids after they got so high on sugar. Yes, they literally got so high that he regretted it so much. And his wife was snoring on the couch. It didn’t even take long before she passed out leaving him alone to deal with the aftermath.
.....
Meanwhile, Marshal Yi wasn’t the only one who was awake at night in the kitchen. Zi Han was doing the same chatting with his mum.
Yi Chen had long fallen asleep and since Zi Han hadn’t had the opportunity to speak to his mother about the messages earlier he could only call her now.
Zi Xingxi was wrapped up in a hoodie blanket while watching a show. Behind her Zi Feiji was making an ice cream cake for Zi Han thus everyone had to suffer the cold chill. Even the little Nimsel had taken refuge inside the hoodie blanket for warmth.
Zi Xingxi answered Zi Han’s video call request and asked, “You already put him to sleep? I honestly thought young people like you love staying up late.”
Zi Han poured out some fruit juice in a glass before glancing at his mother through the screen and as he lowered his gaze he asked, “Why are you dressed like it’s freezing cold?”
“Ask your grandfather. He decided to start this little project now,” she replied only for Zi Feiji to rush over before asking,
“Hey Han Han, do you like rum raisin ice cream?”
Zi Han glanced at his grandpa who was beaming like he had accomplished something big. “I don’t mind it. What are you making?” asked Zi Han only for Zi Feiji to wave his hand and walk away with a spring in his step leaving Zi Han with a perplexed look on his face.
“What is he doing?” asked Zi Han a little worried for him.
“He is making his dearest grandson and his entire squad some ice cream cake. Why you might ask? It’s because Marshal Yi send him a picture of the banana split he made for his kids and of course, your grandpa had to escalate things,” replied Zi Xingxi before taking a seep of her Irish coffee.
“I do like ice cream cake but the reason he is doing it is worrying,” said Zi Han while sitting down.
“And the um texts... ignore them. That Ikeda is really fucked up. If he keeps messing with you, tell me so I can end him. I will risk everything to get that pervert off your back,” she said seeming really livid about this.
Zi Han’s brows arched upon hearing this. He didn’t think the person who sent him those messages was the prime minister. He didn’t take those messages seriously.
He couldn’t wrap his head around it. After he almost killed him the man was still so adamant about getting his attention. It seemed he really kept to his word that he said that day.
What the prime minister had said to him at that time was, “You better make sure I am dead because I won’t stop.”
At that time Zi Han thought the man was hallucinating from losing a lot of blood and said such nonsense but as it turns out he was very serious.
Zi Han chuckled finally putting two and two together. This pair of besties were worried that he would get hooked by that idiot prime minister so they wanted to lock down his relationship with Yi Chen just in case. This is why his mother’s attitude had changed and why Lin Ruoxi was talking about marriage.
“You two are crazy,” said Zi Han looking at his mother with slight confusion. “Do you think I would be interested in that pervert? Is that why all of you were panicking like dogs before a storm?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmZi Xingxi opened and closed her mouth a few times before pouring out more whiskey into her coffee and drinking it.
“Ma!” called out Zi Han but Zi Xingxi was pretending like she couldn’t hear him.
“I have to help your grandfather. He put the temperature down so low so that the ice cream wouldn’t melt. It’s because of you that we are suffering. Come sweety, let’s go. Your father is tripping,” she said with the latter sentence referring to the little Nimsel that had crawled out of the hoodie blanket.
Zi Han, “...”
Who was really tripping between them? As soon as that video call cut Zi Han felt like swapping out this orange juice for whiskey. But instead, he decided to go to bed thus he drank up whatever was remaining when his light brain made a dinging sound having received a notification.
Zi Han swiped down and as expected another message came in. Because he had blocked out the other number the messages were now coming from a different number.
SN9356: You blocked me, why?
Zi Han moved his finger to block the number when another message came through.
SN9356: Wait don’t block me yet.
SN9356: I have video evidence.
SN9356: Please.
Zi Han, “...”
Recalling what his mother said Zi Han didn’t hesitate to block that number.
A few blocks over a man sitting in the dark with a glowing flame from a cigarette lighting the room sighed in frustration while staring at the ‘you have been blocked’ prompt on the screen. He should have let it go but he just couldn’t. Like an infestation, it was growing and if he didn’t talk to him he might end up suffocating from it.
