Chapter 229 Elias Winters Is Your Father, Yes?
“We should go now.” Elias held his son tightly and looked at Amanda. “I’m going to take
Aiden to school.”
With that, he turned and walked away, while their little bundle of joy happily clung to the
man’s neck. while chattering incessantly.
Amanda’s heart was filled with endless emotions as she watched the retreating figures of
the father and son. How did it come to this…
She wanted to cut off all contact with Elias completely, but she couldn’t possibly do that
since she had to consider Aiden. Aiden had just started to develop a sense of dependence
on his biological father. How could a three-year-old boy handle being told that Elias wasn’t
his father any more?
After the door closed, Selina couldn’t help but ask, “Amanda, what exactly happened
between you two? Why are you suddenly acting like enemies? Seriously, I still don’t
understand why Mr. Winters suddenly decided to marry someone else. I definitely see the
love for you and Aiden in his eyes-
“You must be mistaken, then. Don’t delude yourself. He’s about to get engaged. The other
person is a wealthy heiress who is younger, prettier, and more useful than me. He has no
attachment to me whatsoever.”
Amanda sat back on the couch with a cold expression as she stated these facts without
any emotion.
“But-
“That’s enough, Selina. You can go on with your tasks. I want some time alone. I’m feeling
a bit tired.
Seeing how bothered Amanda was, Selina didn’t know what else to say and could only
nod.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs Selina had barely taken a few steps, the doorbell rang. She was about to go and-answer
it when Amanda stood up. “You go on with what you need to do. I’ll answer the door.”
Selina then nodded and went into the kitchen.
Amanda arrived at the entrance and furrowed her brows when she saw the person on the
video doorbell. It was none other than Stephanie, the heiress of the Allegra Group.
What does she want now? Amanda took a moment to compose herself before she opened
the door.
Stephanie was standing outside with a smile on her face. “Hi, Miss Bailey. We meet again.”
“What are you here for? Another attempt to pry into Elias’ privacy? If you really want to
know something. why don’t you ask him directly? This is getting annoying.“
With that, Amanda started to close the door, only to have Stephanie block it with her hand
and enter the house. “Seems like you already know everything. Miss Bailey. I won’t beat
around the bush, then. I am Elias’ soon-to-be fiancée.”
“And? Did someone let you in?”
“I came in by myself. What can you do about it? Besides, this isn’t even your house. I
checked, and it belongs to Elias.” Stephanie strutted into the living room and sat on the
couch.
“Amanda, who is it? Do they need something to drink?” Selina asked from the kitchen.
“It’s fine!” Amanda declined directly. She had no intention of preparing drinks for
Stephanie.
Meanwhile, Stephanie sat on the couch, feigning innocence. “Why are you being so
stingy? You won’t even give me a drink. Are you upset because I’m Elias’ fiancée? Are you
angry? Do you still have hopes about your ex-husband?”
Stephanie didn’t initially plan to disturb this mother-son duo, but she wanted revenge on
Elias.
The image of Crispin being forcibly taken away yesterday infuriated her. She thought that
Elias was a scoundrel who intentionally brought Crispin to the house.
Given that, she wouldn’t blame herself for harassing this pitiful mother and son.
“Are you okay in the head, Miss Allegra? Please go to a mental hospital for a diagnosis if
you’ve gone crazy. Stop acting out here. Find something to do if you have too much
energy to spare. Don’t bother me. I won’t disturb your relationship, nor will I cause you
any trouble. Why are you even here causing a scene?”
Amanda couldn’t understand the reason Stephanie repeatedly came here to humiliate her.
Am I relentlessly pursuing Elias? Did I interfere in their relationship?
Stephanie was taken aback by Amanda’s questioning for a few seconds before she
laughed. “Impressive, as expected of a lawyer. You’re eloquent. I’m just curious how you
ended up being abandoned when you’re also quite beautiful and good with words. Even
your son was abandoned. Tsk! I really feel bad for you.”
She understood now that this was purely an act of provocation.
Amanda couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to her. She coldly laughed. “If you don’t
want to leave, then stay here alone. I’m tired. I’m going to sleep in my room.”
Without looking back, she walked toward her room.
At that moment, Selina came out of the kitchen and saw Stephanie on the couch. She
couldn’t help but ask, “Who is she-
“Don’t worry about it. She’s like a beggar. We can’t chase her away out of
humanitarianism. Let her stay until she wants to leave.”
Amanda then pulled Selina into her room and closed the door.
Stephanie was left alone in the living room after the door closed. She couldn’t help but
laugh at how Elias’ ex-wife wasn’t easy to deal with.
Still, she would go find Elias’ son. If she couldn’t handle the adult, she could still handle
the child!
In any case, she wouldn’t let Elias live in peace.
In the afternoon, after class, Stephanie arrived at the kindergarten based on the
information she had gathered. As soon as she saw that school was over, she walked into

She had originally planned to ask the teacher which one was Aiden, but to her surprise,
she immediately spotted a face among the group of children that was an exact replica of
Elias. The boy was like a mini version of Elias.
This has to be Elias’ biological son, no doubt about it.
“Aiden Bailey?” Stephanie called out.
The little boy’s face was filled with confusion when he looked over. “Who are you? How do
you know my
name?”
Stephanie glanced at the teacher, who was busy with other things, and beckoned to
Aiden. “Come here. I’ll tell you.”
The little one stubbornly huffed. “No way! Mommy said I shouldn’t go near strangers, and
Daddy said he’ll spank me if I talk to someone I don’t know.”
Stephanie couldn’t help but chuckle. She found the boy quite adorable. Not only that, but
his features bore a striking resemblance to Elias. As expected of Elias’ own son, no? Even
their temperaments are somewhat alike. Will our children look this adorable if Elias and I
are to get married?
But as soon as the thought crossed her mind, Stephanie shook her head to dismiss it.
Have I gone crazy? How can I entertain the idea of marrying him and having children
together?!
Yet, Stephanie knew she couldn’t escape the undeniable reality of marrying and having
children with Elias if his plan didn’t succeed.
“Aiden. Elias Winters is your daddy, right?”
“How do you know Daddy’s name? Who are you?” Aiden looked cautious.
“Not only do I know your daddy’s name, but I also know your mommy’s name. Aren’t you
curious to know who I am?” Stephanie spoke like a kidnapper trying to lure a child.
