Chapter 305 I Miss Mommy
The cries in the air came to an abrupt halt, and everything went back to normal. Amanda
caught up to them a moment later and saw Rosie shivering in her brother’s embrace, fear
gripping her heart. Perhaps she was still shaken by her fear of Maria and the dark.
Taylor held his sister tightly and roared at Elias, “Enough! Stop pushing her!”
Rosie fell limp in Taylor’s embrace. Taylor looked at her and tightened his grip. “Rosic?” He
shouted her name, “Rosie! Wake up!” Yet, no matter how much he shouted, she wouldn’t
wake up. Panicked, he called. for the butler. “Stefan? Stefan! Get us a car and take Rosie
to the hospital! She fainted!”
“Yes, sir!” The butler quickly turned around and made a call.
Rosie was taken to the hospital. She was still unconscious, but the doctor had checked on
her and said she would be all right. She only fainted because she was in a state of great
shock. She would be fine after some
rest.
Taylor felt relieved hearing that. He tucked his sister in and left the ward. The first thing he
saw was Elias and Amanda standing outside, ready to take him to the operating room for
the bone marrow transplant.
Yacob approached them, looking grim. He told Amanda, “Miss Bailey, you might want to
see Mr. Aiden. He’s unwell.”
Unwell? The look on Amanda’s face changed. Yacob might have made it sound simple, but
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtthere was no way Aiden was simply unwell. She turned and charged to her son’s ward,
tears streaming down her cheeks.
Elias stared at Taylor coolly. Time for you to fulfill your promise. Get the bone marrow
transplant over with as soon as possible. I don’t want my son to suffer any longer.”
“Are you stupid, Elias? Now that I’ve found Rosie, I’m not scared of you anymore. Why
would I listen to you? You might have found my sister, but the method you used was too
extreme. Do you really think I’ll help your son? In your dreams.”
Taylor had relented. He would donate his bone marrow as per the promise, but he wanted
to rile Elias up and see him getting angry while unable to do anything.
He was disappointed, however. Elias wasn’t even fazed. Instead, Elias laughed. He knew
this would happen. “So, you’re going back on your word?” asked Elias calmly, like he
didn’t care about this matter at all.
“Yeah, and so what? You think that flimsy contract can make me do anything? In your
dreams! What do I care about your son’s life?” Taylor was running his mouth. Since he
could never win in a fair fight, he wanted to piss Elias off. He wanted to see the angry
expression on Elias’ face when Elias realized he couldn’t do anything about him.
Elias didn’t get mad, however. He stayed calm, and the smile on his lips turned wider. “I
knew you’d say that. If you’re going to work with us, then everyone’s going to be happy.
But if you’re not going to work with us, then, well, things might get a little ugly,” said Elias
a little too calmly. He then slowly made his way to the end of the corridor.
Taylor stood around, bemused. He wondered what Elias meant by that, then he looked at
Yacob. “What was that supposed to mean? He’s going to use force?”
Yacob smiled and met Taylor’s eyes. “Mr. Momsey, if I were you, I’d go along with this. The
child did
nothing wrong, and the procedure won’t hurt you. You’re a healthy man and will probably
heal very quickly. If you won’t do as you promised, then I will have to carry out my
employer’s orders. I’m just an employee, after all.”
“Get to the point already, you.” Taylor had no patience for all this drivel.
Yacob cleared his throat. “In other words, my employer has more than one way to make
you donate your marrow willingly. He might not use force, but he can always attack your
family’s business. His position in the family might not be established, but he can easily
take you guys out, Momsey Group’s profits have been dipping lately, haven’t they? Aren’t
you the least bit worried about it, being its heir?”
Shock flashed in Taylor’s eyes, and he gulped. Momsey Group was embroiled in a crisis,
and his father was toiling away raising funds for a project.
“Think about it, Mr. Momsey. You know the kind of man my employer is. No one can stop
him from doing what he wants. Not to mention his son’s life is on the line. Do you really
think he’s going to hold back? He might get rid of your family this time. You do know that
we’re the partner for many of your family’s projects, don’t you? And he only gave you
guys a chance because Rosie got mad. Now that he knows she’s not actually mad, he’s

accusations pointed at him because of your sister’s ‘madness”?”
Yacob took out a cigarette and tried to smoke. A nurse came over. “No smoking in the
hospital.”
Yacob tucked his cigarette away and looked at the stunned Taylor. “Think long and hard
about it. Now that Mr. Elias has given you a hint, that means he’s ready for anything.”
Yacob then left as well.
Taylor was alone, petrified, and deep in his thoughts, the words of Yacob playing in his
head. He was furious, but everything Yacob told him doused that fire of fury.
Meanwhile, it had been two days since the boy saw his mother. He kept calling out for his
mother, lying in Selina’s embrace like a hurt kitten.
Selina wept for the poor boy. He looked so weak, and she wondered why Amanda was
missing. She had no idea what happened. Amanda loved her son dearly. There was no way
she would disappear without a reason and neglect the boy.
“Miss Selina, why isn’t Mommy here yet? You lied to me. All of you did.” Everyone told him
Amanda. would show up soon, but it had been two days and she still didn’t show up.
Selina held the boy tightly, gently assuring him, “We weren’t lying. Your mother is busy at
work, but she’ll come soon. She loves you the most, don’t you know that?”
The boy puckered his lips, tears falling down his cheeks. He buried his head in Selina’s
embrace and broke out into a cry. “I miss Mommy.”
Selina cried as well. Aiden’s cries tore her heart into pieces as if a tormentor was slicing it
up without
