“Lyra, how are you enjoying the party?” Alpha Griffin asked his daughter, as | stood beside them, waiting for

them to take from the tray of drinks | was holding

Alpha Griffin had gestured forto cover while | was serving the guests. | was dressed as the other

omegas, in a white long sleeve over skimpy skirts and black stockings,

“Of course it’s going well, father. Everyone knows that King Eros is coming to marryin a few hours time.

Mother told me,” Lyra lifted her chin proudly.

Alpha Griffin caressed his stubble with a grimace “That's great, Lyra. You are a good girl. | am so proud of you,”

“Thank you, Daddy. | promise to prioritize the pack’s welfare when | becQueen,” she said, smiling from ear

to ear.

“So.” Alpha Griffin cleared his throat “how about Theo?” he asked “You had promised to marry him,

“Well, | do not care about him anymore. He can have any of these omegas of something. After all, we aren’t true

mates” Lyra said condescendingly, before castinga hard glare.

glance from the corner of her eye and held out her hand. “Put this on me,

| gritted my teeth, and went to drop the tray of drinks on a nearby table. | collected the diamond earring, ready

to put it on her when Theo’s suddenly interrupted.

Lyra’s face had darkened, “You know what, you both should be together. Anyways, since i’'m going to be engaged

with King Eros. | give you both my blessing,” she scoffed and took the velvet box from the table. She took to her

heels to Theo and I's shock.

Theo scratched his hair and murmured incoherently. He followed Lyra afterwards, and | could see them arguing

at a corner of the party.

| shook my head slowly, and sneaked outside. | kept walking till | was sdistance from the party. | just-

needed sometto think my life through.

My previous life wa going well. | was happy with Eros and my Lycan family, and then the goddess rewrote my

story and changed a lot of things in my world.

As | stared at the full moon in the sky, bloodied pictures of me, Eros, Olivia, Eros, Adonis, Arthur and Beauty

Suddenly I heard a “clack!.

| was immediately alert for the next second, because of my training with the Lycans.

“Who is it?” | asked loudly, contemplating going back to the party, | asked again and nobody answered. Just

when | thought that it was all my thoughts, | felt a pair of strong hands suddenly heldtightly from behind..

I only felt a pain in the back of my neck, and I lost consciousness.

| felt heavy all over, like a stone was pressing down on me, and the back of my neck and ankles were aching all

the time. | opened my eyes wearily, and in the blur of vision, | saw Theo,

“My Love, are you awake?” Theo crouched in front of me, and | realized that my hands were tied behind my

back. A few wisp of his hair fell on his forehead, and his face had a friendly smile.

“What are you doing? Why do you havehere?” 1 exclaimed angrily.

“I'm sorry, | had to do this mate. but after Lyra announced my engagement with her, you suddenly becaloof

and started avoiding me. We never even had the opportunity to make love because to you, you wanted us to do

at the right time.” Theo ranted, and | watched in awe.
