Daniel was jolted awake from a nightmare, heart racing as he felt the sting of a spanking from his dad, Isaac.
Sweating and panting, it took him a moment to realize it was all just a bad dream. Frightened by the ordeal, he quickly removed
Isaac from his blocked contacts, only to discover his favorite action figure had been banished to the dreaded "time-out" closet!
Daniel was devastated!
"Dad, I'm really sorry. Please, don't take it out on my toy, let it be," he pleaded through text.
Isaac replied instantly, "Take care of your mom. If you try any more pranks, next tit'll be you in time-out!"
Feeling guilty, Daniel mumbled, "It wasn't on purpose. | just wanted to save your marriage!"
Isaac didn't respond.
"Worried about you, Dad. That was sserious laxative prank | pulled, huh?" Daniel tried to lighten the mood.
"Stay away from those pranks, or I'll have to tell your mom," Isaac warned.

Daniel deflated, "Got it."
Kari's trip to Craneville was swamped with work.
Brittany, securing several major deals, was solidifying her position in thepany. Seeing Kari buried in work, she decided to join
forces on the business front.
With Brittany's help, they quickly signed a letter of intent for collaboration, and Kari could finally relax. "Brittany, | couldn't have
done it without you. You've been holding down the fort at Bri-jeweled Studio. It's been tough."
Brittany's focus had shifted to the Lte Conglomerate, and without Kari, she wouldn't have been able tomit fully.
"Brittany, are you really not considering going back to Imperial City?" Kari finally broached the subject. "The Dustin Group and Bri-
jeweled Studio, they're all waiting for you."
Brittany hesitated, "Kari, my dad's the closest person to me. He's not keen onreturning to Imperial City."
And she was poised to inherit the Lte Conglomerate, making her return unlikely.
Kari sighed, "Brittany, whatever decision you make, I'm behind you."
Towards the end of their conversation, Brittany even considered transferring her shares to Kari.
"Brittany, the shares | have are more than enough for afortable life. You've givenopportunities that broughthere. |
don't want the shares; | just hope to take Bri-jeweled Stuto greater heights," Kari declined.
Brittany felt lucky to have such a friend, "Didn't you and Nathan..."
"Brittany, remember? Nathan and | are history," Kari smiled, dispelling any hope of reconciliation.
Brittany was choked up, her memories betraying her. She thought Kari and Nathan had a chance, even suggesting to Isaac that
Nathan spend more twith Kari.
Mid-conversation, Kari received a call, her cheeks flushing slightly after hanging up.
Brittany sensed sjuicy gossip.
Daniel, sipping on coconut water, chimed in, "Uncle Ronald's calling."

"How do you know?"
"Everyone knows Ronald's got a crush on Kari, except maybe Kari herself," Daniel sighed, the weight of the world in his words.
Returning from the call, Kari announced she couldn't join Brittany for dinner.
"Ronald's here in Craneville. At the airport."
Brittany got the hint, "Go ahead, have a great date."
Kari was taken aback, "Brittany, you've got it all wrong. He's like a brother to me—"
"Ronald likes you. And he's quite handsome. You two would be a good match," Daniel innocently added.
Kari, visibly flustered, quickly excused herself.
Daniel smacked his lips, "Looks like Kari's in the loop now."
Brittany, having otten who Ronald was, looked at Daniel, "Ronald who?"
"He's like a brother to Kari... but no blood relation. They grew up together, and he's always been attentive towards her."
But not as attentively as Dad to Mom, Daniel thought, unable to bear the sight of his dad's doting nature.
