Chapter 652
Brittany, holding her purse tightly, approached and asked, “When did you get here? Why didn’t you give me a
heads-up?”
“I arrived pretty late and saw you were busy, so I didn’t bother you.”
William noticed Brittany was only wearing a dress and was worried she’d be cold. He wanted to take off his jacket
for her, but they had broken up, so it didn’t seem quite right.
“It’s chilly; you should head home early.” He had deliberately waited there for Brittany just to exchange a few words
with her.
“You too.”
They stood there in silence for a while.
Suddenly, a warm coat was draped over her. An imposing presence engulfed her, and Isaac’s voice rang out.
“William, you’re here too? Bri, didn’t we just say I’d drive you home? Let’s go.”
Isaac followed closely. He felt uncomfortable when he saw them standing together. He wasn’t someone who could

After seeing him, William’s expression turned sour. “Zac, Bri isn’t your property. She makes her own choices.”
“Well, you’re not one of her choices.” Isaac held Brittany’s waist and shoved her into his car.
Brittany wanted to struggle but was warned by Isaac in a low voice. “Don’t forget, you promised to minimize your
contact with William.”
Brittany felt cornered. She leaned back on the leather seat, not even wanting to glance at Isaac.
Isaac walked to the driver’s seat, opened the car door, and slammed it shut.
Then he started the car, leaving William behind.
Brittany looked grim. She rolled down the window, not wanting to talk to Isaac.
Isaac held the steering wheel with one hand and looked at the fuming Brittany. “What did you say to him?”
“Why should I tell you?”
Brittany found Isaac really contradictory. Was he okay in the head? Why did he keep threatening her?
Isaac felt a lump in his chest as he thought about Brittany’s past relationship with William. The thought of Daniel
mentioning their almost-kiss had him feeling like he was on fire, but he had to bear it.
When they arrived at the apartment, Brittany got out of the car, and Isaac followed.
They entered the elevator, one after the other, not saying a word.
At the door of the apartment, Brittany was about to enter the password when she realized the door was ajar.
“Oh no…” Brittany realized something might be wrong.
Isaac stopped her from pushing the door open. “Wait outside for me.”
He pushed the door open to find the room was trashed. The expensive vases, coffee table, and desk were all
smashed; there was debris all over the place.
Seeing the mess, Brittany immediately worried about Daniel and quickly called Mia.
There can’t be any trouble.” Brittany’s lips trembled slightly. If anything really happened, what would she do?
Luckily, Mia picked up. “Ms. Dustin.”
“Where are you and Daniel?”
“Daniel said he wanted to play with Abby tonight, so we’re at the amusement park.” The noise was loud on Mia’s
end.
Brittany let out a sigh of relief. “Got it.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIsaac checked every room and confirmed no one was there, then he came out. “Who have you pissed off lately?”
‘Joseph.”
“He’s been trying to buy my company, but I’ve been refusing.” Brittany rubbed her temples. She hadn’t expected
Joseph to target her home, but luckily Daniel wasn’t
there.
Otherwise, the consequences would have been severe.
While looking at the ravaged apartment, Isaac said, “You can’t live here anymore; you should move to Radiant
Residences.”
“No, I won’t go.”
Brittany refused without hesitation. “I have plenty of houses. I don’t need to live at your place.”
After saying that, she started considering where to move.
“Daniel has lived in Radiant Residences for many years, so he’s used to it. Plus, I have people there, so Joseph
wouldn’t dare approach.” He tried to be as gentle as possible. “I won’t touch you until you accept me, okay?”
Brittany didn’t want to live under the same roof as Isaac, hut she knew that Isaac’s turf was indeed the safest.
She took a deep breath and decided to accept his offer as her eyes flickered.
