"The buyer's clear. We need to take her and have her out of the country within three days!"

The men quickly dispersed to carry out their mission.

Brittany had downed a few glasses of wine and was starting to feel it.

Isaac, at her side, noticed the flush behind her ears and suggested, "Maybe you should have shoney lemon water?"

"No need," Brittany shook her head. "I'll just pop to the ladies' room."

The alcohol was making her feel bloated.

Isaac wanted to follow, but Dominic stopped him with a call.

Upon reaching the restroom, Brittany felt tipsy. She stayed inside for nearly half an hour, trying to sober up, before finally standing

up and leaving the stall.

The restroom was deserted. She leaned over the sink, scooping up a handful of water, trying to wash away the dizziness caused by

the alcohol.

Suddenly, the lights went out.

The water cupped in her hands acted like a mirror, and through its reflection, Brittany saw a group of figures appear behind her!

Before she could react, a pair of hands covered her mouth, and the pungent smell of ether flooded her nostrils.

The world spun upside down, and she caught a glimpse of a figure standing not far away. The person's face was calm, but their

eyes were filled with contempt.

Brittany instinctively struggled, but the drug took effect, her vision went dark, and she passed out completely.

The men in black suits whisked her away from the scene of the reception, their haste causing them to overlook the sound of a ring

hitting the floor.

Saskia didn't expect someone to dare attack Brittany. Her first thought was to call the police, but then she considered that if

Brittany were dead, she couldn't inherit the Lynette family fortune. Then, she and her brother would becthe biggest winners.

With that thought, Saskia pocketed her phone and decisively walked away.

Brittany hadn't returned from the restroom for half an hour, and Isaac was getting restless.

"Brittany hasn't cback yet?" Dominic also felt something was off.

"I'll go check," Ysabel stood up.

Isaac, worried, followed her.

Ysabel checked the ladies’ room but didn't find Brittany. A sense of unease grew within her, and in her distraction, she stepped on a

She crouched down and picked it up.

It was Brittany's wedding ring. She had treasured it, always keeping it close. How could it be lost?

Waves of dizziness washed over her, mixed with nausea from the car's jolting. Brittany snapped awake, her eyes blindfolded, her

hands tied behind her back, the ache unbearable.
