Brittany's arms ached, but the longing to see her son after so long spurred her on. Thankfully, the airport had an express lane, and
in less than ten minutes, she was in the parking lot, strapping Daniel into his car seat.
"Are you hungry?" Brittany asked as she clicked the belt into place.
"Not really," Daniel shook his head. "Emily packedscupcakes. I'll just warm them up in the microwave later. You used to
love those."
Daniel carried the cupcakes all the way, and Brittany felt a wave of emotion. "That sounds lovely."
Once at the hospital, Daniel urged Brittany into bed. He warmed the cupcakes and placed one in front of her. "Here, Mommy, take
a bite."
Brittany took a small piece, surprised at how good it tasted.
"Delicious."
"I knew you'd like it. You always did," Daniel said, stuffing a piece into his own mouth. "It's just a shabout Dad..."
He didn’t finish his words.
Brittany caught the word "Dad" and frowned. "Daniel, you haven't told me, where has your father gone?"
It had been so long since she'd woken up, and her husband hadn't visited once.
"Daddy's gone far away," Daniel said softly.
Brittany's heart skipped a beat. "Gone?"

"Don't worry, Mommy. Daddy will cback," Daniel reassured her.
Unable to recall anything, Brittany had no choice but to let the matter rest.
With Daniel's company, her recovery sped up, and soon it was the eve of Christmas.
After a comprehensive evaluation, the doctors confirmed Brittany was in good shape and Yuri finally agreed to discharge her.
Staying in the hospital for over a month had left Brittany restless. She roughly remembered her occupation - a jewelry designer
with her own studio.
"Dad, I'd like to go back to my stuwork once I'm discharged."
Yuri was surprised she still harbored a passion for jewelry design despite her amnesia. "Bri, you're my only daughter, and | want
you to carry on the family legacy. The Lynette Conglomerate has a jewelry line too. If you're interested, you could take over."
Brittany was aware of Yuri's hopes and after a moment's thought, she agreed. "Alright. I'm very interested in jewelry design."
Yuri was overjoyed. Brittany was exceptionally talented, and her willingness to join the family business was a significant step in
continuing the Lynette legacy.
Daniel was still at school and couldn't cto pick up Brittany. Yuri and Brittany left the hospital, getting into the Lynette family's
sleek car.
Brittany scrolled through her phone, reviewing ssubsidiary information as they entered Bay Community. Suddenly, she turned
her gaze in a certain direction, as if expecting something.
But nothing cto mind.
Yuri's eyes drooped. "Bri, these past weeks have been tough. | have a few friends you should meet once you're settled."
He had already spoken with Dr. Peter, ensuring that all memories of Isaac would be erased, with a very low chance of resurfacing.
Brittany drew back from her thoughts. "Sure, Dad."
Arriving at the Lynette Mansion, Yuri helped Brittany out of the car.
Holden and Saskia had already returned. And so had Saskia’s husband Gabriel Brandt.
Saskia was over three months pregnant, and it was beginning to show.
Brittany had met Holden before but had never seen Saskia.
"Brother," Brittany greeted Holden, her curiosity piqued by Saskia.
"Bri, this is Holden's twin sister, Saskia. Just call her Saskia," Yuri introduced. "And this is her husband."
"Nice to meet you, Saskia."
Saskia knew about Brittany's amnesia, initially suspecting it might be an act, but was surprised that after a month in the hospital,
Brittany had not recovered.
"Bri," Saskia said, deliberately accentuating her burgeoning belly.
"You're pregnant?"
"Yes, a little over three months."
Saskia was visibly proud. The latest doctor's visit had revealed a 90% chance she was carrying a boy, which had significantly
