Chapter 622
Brittany certainly hoped to team up with the Palmer family, but that would depend on the form of cooperation.
“Mr. Joseph, what do you mean?” Brittany asked.
“I plan to either buy out Bri-jeweled Studio or invest in it,” Joseph stated his intentions outright, “Bri-jeweled Studio
has a high standing among domestic jewelry brands. It will only grow faster and better with the backing of the
Palmer family. I believe Ms. Dustin would also like to see the brand you founded go global, right?”
Brittany immediately lost interest in cooperating with Joseph at the mention of “buyout”.
She picked up her cup, sipped leisurely, and shook her head. “Mr. Joseph, Bri-jeweled Studio does not accept
investments or buyouts.”
Bri-jeweled Studio was a brand she had founded with her own hands, and it was like her child.
What mother would sell her own child?
“Ms. Dustin, I understand this proposal might seem presumptuous, but we can sit down and have a good talk.”
Joseph knew Brittany’s character and he was resolute in completing this task.
As long as the price was right, Brittany would have to agree, whether she wanted to or not.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBrittany just gave a small smile.
Seeing Brittany’s reluctance, Stella signaled Joseph to change the topic.
Joseph immediately switched topics, and the conversation started to liven up. Brittany and Stella began talking
about their photo-shoot, and the atmosphere was quite harmonious.
Brittany couldn’t avoid drinking on such a scene.
After the meal, Brittany’s assistant helped her out. As soon as they exited the restaurant, they ran into a man. And
that man quickly swept Brittany off her feet.
The assistant was startled. She recognized the man’s face and seemed lost for words, “Mr. Salter?”
Isaac looked at Brittany in his arms and frowned, “How much did you drink?”
“Ms. Dustin only had a few drinks,” the assistant was surprised at Isaac’s appearance. Thinking of their unresolved
issues, she tried to step forward but was stopped by Isaac’s intimidating gaze.
“I’ll take her from here.”
Isaac left with Brittany in his arms. The assistant wanted to follow but was stopped by Stella.
“No need to follow, she’ll be safe with Mr. Salter.”
The assistant pursed her lips. She hesitated for quite a while before following up.
Brittany, drunk as a skunk, was put in the passenger seat. Isaac looked at her flushed cheeks and his eyes
darkened.
She was too drunk to put her guard up as usual.
She seemed more relaxed and casual. Her lips were slightly parted, revealing a tiny bit of her pink tongue. He
couldn’t take his eyes off
from that.
Isaac reached out his hand to gently touch her brow, then drove off.
Back at the apartment, Daniel was sprawled on the sofa reading a book, and Mia was tidying up toys.
Hearing the noise, Daniel stood up, “Dad.”
Mia also got up, “Mr. Salter, is Ms. Dustin drunk? I’ll make some soup.”
Isaac nodded and carried Brittany into the bedroom.
Daniel followed them, “What’s wrong with mom?”
“She’s drunk.”
Isaac looked down, closed the door with his foot, and left Daniel outside.
Daniel was confused.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWhy won’t Dad let him in if Mom is drunk? He thought.
Mia started to boil water for soup and took Daniel to the kitchen, “Daniel, would you like a snack?”
“Sure.”
Daniel was distracted by the food and forgot about Brittany.
Isaac undressed Brittany, wiped her clean, removed her makeup, and was just about to change her into pajamas
when Mia knocked on the door.
“Sir, the soup is ready.”
“Okay, put Daniel to bed and then you can leave.”
Isaac’s hand, buttoning up the pajamas, paused slightly before he gave the orders.
“Okay.” Mia answered.
After changing Brittany into her pajamas, Isaac went to the kitchen to get the soup. He fed it to Brittany before
leaving the room.
Mia was waiting in the living room, “Mr. Salter.”
“Does Brittany know that I arranged for you to be here?” Isaac asked.
