Chapter 280
She planned on blowing up at Grace, but then she realized they were in public. With spectators all
around, she clenched her teeth and snapped, “What’s it to you!”
The crew was trying to reach a doctor, but there wasn’t one immediately available.
Grace knew some first aid for sprains, so she quickly massaged Penelope’s ankle. Penelope yelped,
but then she noticed that her ankle hurt a lot less.
Grace said, “Get some ice for Ms. Flanagan to put on.”
She looked at Penelope with concern, “Ms. Flanagan, you okay?‘
Penelope had injured her ankle and needed to rest, so she invited Grace to join her in her trailer.
Her parents were still squabbling because of his woman. And if it weren’t for Allison, she might still be
in a mental institution
But Grace was happy to have some alone time with Penelope. She hadn’t seen her in a long time, and
seeing her made her happy.

asked repeatedly
While lying in the hospital, Grace had thought that if she were to die, she’d really want to see Penelope
one more time.
Now in the trailer, with no one around, Penelope stood up and slapped Grace across the face, Its all
your fault, you and Allison. My parents are still fighting because of you. You’re stirring up my parents‘
relationship, why don’t you just die. Why didn’t you dle in that mental hospital? Whats the point of
someone like you living? My mom was right, you re shameless, seducing my father. And with a mother
like you, it’s no surprise Allison turned out the way she did. She even tried to seduce my fiancé! You
and your daughter, living off my family, you’re all traitors!”
“Enough Penelope, cool it. Keep it down. Don’t want people outside to hear Her manager hurried over
to intervene.
Grace stepped back. Penelope’s words were hurtful. How could she talk to her like that?
It took her a while to respond, “How is that possible? Ms. Flanagan, what are you talking about? How
could my Allie ever seduce your fiance, that’s not right.”
Penelope glanced out the window and had Charlie draw the curtains. She looked at Grace, who was
still smiling, and scoffed, “With a mother like you, it’s no wonder your daughter turned out the way she
did. You’re both trash!”
Grace shook her head, “No, no, Ms. Flanagan. You can’t insult Allison like that.”
“Who do you think you are, a servant of the Flanagan family. How dare you talk to me like that. Allison
is taking advantage of me being pregnant and not being able to stay with Lucian. She, a lowly servant,
trying to seduce Mr. Lindberg. You better keep your daughter in check. Or I’ll make sure both of you

“Okay, okay, Penelope. Don’t get worked up, you’re pregnant. Charlie immediately tried to soothe
Penelope and had her sit down to rest. Penelope felt the pain in her ankle and frowned at Grace, “Just
my luck.”
Grace’s face, already pale, turned even more so. Seeing Penelope uncomfortable, she felt a pang in

could be carrying some virus or bacteria, don’t get me sick!”
“Ms. Flanagan, I just wanted to check on your sprain. Don’t move, you need to ice it.” Grace said.
Charlie looked at Grace, “Ma’am, maybe you should leave for now. Don’t upset Penelope anymore”
Grace, with her head full of gray hair, looked at Penelope. Her eyes were filled with concern and worry.
But all she did was sigh, then she turned and left.
Charlie watched her stooped figure walk away and said to Penelope, “Ms. Flanagan, I think she really
cares about you.”
Penelope took out a bottle of nail polish from her makeup bag, a shimmering light pink, “Really?”
Charlie looked at Penelope’s nonchalant demeanor, she found it strange. That woman really did seem
to care a lot about Penelope. This didn’t seem like Just a normal employee–employer relationship.
