Chapter 1018
Lysander wasn’t feeling quite right. His handsome face was flushed with a wine-red hue,
and the air around him carried a tipsy yet chilly pressure. His brows furrowed, a gesture of
suppressed discomfort, as he pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to ease the
unpleasant sensation.
Across from him, Joshua also looked worse for wear. He was shaking his head as he took in
ragged breaths.
Susan, having only indulged in a single drink, was still relatively steady, though an
abnormal flush had crept onto her cheeks.
She rose to her feet, the ambition in her heart nearly impossible to conceal. She rubbed
her hands together, looked at Lysander with a smile, and said, “Mr. Sinclair, Mr. Joshua,
you both seem a bit tipsy. Lucky for us, we’re at the Draven Group Hotel. How about
booking a room and resting up? I should be heading home myself. Thank you both for
being so gracious today.”
Thalassa watched Susan with a restrained gaze. Others might not pick up on it, but she

Lysander to hear. She wanted to show that she had no intention to him to avoid his
suspicion.
No one paid Susan any mind, making her seem like she was talking to herself. But she
didn’t mind in the slightest; after all, she had achieved half of her goal.
All she needed now was to patiently wait for Thalassa to summon her to Lysander’s
room.
She wasn’t worried about Thalassa being disobedient, unless she wanted to risk her
mother’s dignity.
After delivering her piece, Susan walked to the door and shot Thalassa a venomous glance
as she passed by, the meaning clear as day.
Thalassa’s heart tightened. She glared back at Susan, furious but voiceless.
Seeing Thalassa’s helpless expression, Susan’s lips curled into a smug smile. She turned
away and exited the private room.
As Susan disappeared, Thalassa came back to her senses and stood beside Lysander,
saying, “Mr. Sinclair, I have something to attend to… I should leave too.”
She hoped to sneak out while Lysander was preoccupied and Susan was not here. She
would sneak home and have Atticus to delete the video, before Susan found out that she
was gone.
Then, Susan couldn’t threaten Thalassa anymore.

But if she left without saying a word to Lysander, he would surely look for her, and things
could spiral out of control.
Hearing her voice, Lysander relaxed his grip on his brow. His deep and brooding eyes
glossing over with a drunken sheen.
In a low and husky voice, he asked, “Where to?”
“Home.” Thalassa replied, meeting Lysander’s desire-laden gaze. Her breathing slowed
and her heart raced.
Just one look from him could unsettle her so.

core to his head, his brain swelling with the intense warmth.
He stumbled slightly, his brows knitting together.
“I should head back too.” Joshua said as he stood up, the discomfort making his body
sway.
“Mr. Joshua.” Richard quickly steadied him, “You’ve had quite a bit to drink. For safety’s
sake, why don’t you stay at the hotel tonight? I’ll escort you to your room.”
Richard was the host of the evening’s gathering, and he had to take care of his guests. If
something happened to them after attending his event, he would be responsible.
Both Joshua and Lysander were heavily intoxicated and in need of immediate rest. It would
be unwise for them to travel in such a state.
Then, Richard turned to Thalassa and said, “I’ll take Mr. Joshua to his room. Could you
please help Lysander get to his? They’re on the same floor.”
Thalassa’s breath hitched as she glanced at Lysander. He was definitely not in good shape,
and if he insisted on going home with her, his presence would prevent her from asking
Atticus to delete the video right away.
If she missed this critical time, and when Susan realized Lysander wasn’t at the hotel, she
would text Bruce to release the video to the public.
