Chapter 1179
Her voice was soft and tender as she called out weakly.
Thalassa squatted down, arms wide open, ready to catch her children as they raced towards her.
Suddenly, a towering figure loomed over her, and before she knew it, Lysander had stepped in front of
her, scooping up the four little ones headed her way.
Like ducklings in a row, the children’s round bodies were instantly, cradled in Lysander’s long arms.
“Hey, Dad, let go, I want Mom!” Dorian protested, struggling in Lysander’s embrace, his little hands
pushing against his father’s sturdy chest, trying to wriggle free and jump into
his mother’s arms.
Elowen wasn’t happy either. “I want a hug from Mom.”
Atticus complained, “I helped you find Mom yesterday, and you promised we could play
with her.”
Sophia chimed in softly, “Mommy, I want Mommy.”
Thalassa was puzzled; Lysander had never stopped the kids from running to her before. Why was he
suddenly preventing their affectionate reunion?
As her confusion grew, Lysander’s calm voice broke through, “What did I tell you last time? Have you

Lysander was teaching the little ones a lesson.
Thalassa’s heart skipped a beat at his words, and she suddenly realized why Lysan had acted this way.
She, too, had just remembered the new life growing inside her.
She had the instinct to protect the baby, but faced with her four children, her love fo made her eager to

Lysander, however, was always mindful of it.
The children were very understanding; they couldn’t grasp Lysander’s actions at first, b upon hearing
his explanation, they immediately understood his intentions.
Dorian calmed down and said obediently, “I understand, I’ll be very careful not to bump into Mommy
and protect the little baby in her tummy.”
“Good,” Lysander said, ruffling Dorian’s hair in approval.
“Dad, if you need me for anything, I’ll still help you quickly,” Atticus said, his voice softening as he
grasped his father’s concern for his mother.
“Okay, I’ll be careful,” said Elowen, her big, bright eyes blinking understandingly.

Chapter 1179
“I like the new baby,” Sophia cooed.
Finally, Lysander released them.
Once free, the children dashed towards Thalassa, slowing down instinctively just before reaching her,
approaching with soft steps. They looked up at her with their sweet,
innocent eyes.
“Mommy, Fitch said if we played here for a while, you’d come back, and he was right.” Atticus told
Thalassa.
It was Saturday, no school, and the kids had been looking for their mother since they woke up.
Fitch had been creatively distracting them, coaxing them to finish breakfast and then to play outside, all
to divert their attention.
In truth, Fitch had no idea when Thalassa and Lysander would return.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThalassa glanced gratefully at Fitch, who stood to the side; Thalassa could imagine the ruckus when
the children wanted to find her, and she appreciated Fitch’s patient guidance and care.
Fitch received Thalassa’s thankful gaze and nodded respectfully, signaling his acknowledgement and
silently communicating that it was his duty, no thanks necessary.
“Mommy, can I touch your belly?” Dorian asked, looking up with his youthful innocence. He was curious
to feel what it was like for his sibling to play inside his mother’s belly.
Thalassa came back to the present and responded to Dorian, “Of course you can, but there isn’t much
to feel yet. The baby is still very small, not even fully shaped.”
“Really? Let me feel,” Dorian said, taking small steps forward. He gently touched Thalassa’s belly,
being extremely careful as if afraid to hurt the baby.
After feeling her belly, he looked up at Thalassa with his bright eyes, full of wonder, exclaimed, “It’s like
a little fish swimming around, so magical.”
Thalassa laughed at his adorable comment, “That’s just your imagination, sweetheart You can’t really
feel anything at this stage.”
As she spoke, she felt a deep gaze upon her. Turning her head, she locked eyes with Lysander whose
profound eyes were filled with an unspoken conversation of love and protection for their growing family.
