Chapter 774
Ever since the incident when Leopold had saved her from the clutches of Charlotte Ravensong, Thalassa hadn’t heard a peep from him.
Now, upon hearing from Ethan that she was to meet Leopold tomorrow, a peculiar heaviness settled in her heart and she somehow felt the heartache.
She had said things she shouldn’t have, and she wondered how Leopold was faring.
The next day came quicker than she expected.
Ethan and Betty had left early for the airport. Betty was very excited about the prospect of some alone time with Ethan, and had packed her bags and left in a hurry.
Thalassa arrived at the office 20 minutes early, a rarity for her.

she was sitting at her desk, the phone rang. It was the receptionist. She picked up and the receptionist told her that Mr. Sinclair was there and asked her if it was okay to send him upstairs.
Mr. Sinclair! Leopold!
He was so early.
Thalassa was caught off guard, but she couldn’t keep him waiting. She told the receptionist to send him up.
Once she hung up, she hurriedly checked her reflection in the small mirror on her desk, ensuring that her makeup wasn’t smudged and that she had no breakfast crumbs stuck on her face.
Assured that she was presentable, she left her office to go to the meeting room.
After a short wait, Leopold arrived. He was dressed in a chestnut brown suit, the pants perfectly matching his stylish shirt. His sleeves were rolled up, revealing his tanned forearms. His short hair, of the same chestnut hue, gave him a youthful, sun-kissed appearance.
“Mr. Sinclair, welcome. Please, have a seat,” Thalassa greeted him politely, standing to welcome him.
Leopold, after giving her a quick once-over, took the proffered seat across from her.
Thalassa approached him, carrying a fresh cup of coffee she had made just minutes before. She placed it on the coffee table in front of him, bending slightly as she offered, “Mr. Sinclair, please enjoy your coffee.”
Leopold’s eyes flickered to her, inadvertently catching a glimpse of her cleavage as she bent over. A wave of heat flushed his belly as he caught sight of the intimate view.
Thalassa, noticing the sudden hue on his boyishly handsome face, realized her posture was a tad inappropriate.

Although she wore a high-collared shirt and didn’t bend very low at the waist, but due to women’s particular traits, there was always something to be seen through her neckline.
She quickly straightened up, her hands fluttering awkwardly by her sides before she hurriedly retreated to her own seat.
Leopold, looking slightly embarrassed, took a sip from the cup, breaking the awkward silence by saying, “The coffee is good.”
“Thank you, Mr. Sinclair,” Thalassa responded, still a bit flustered.
He raised an eyebrow at her formality, “Just call me Leopold.” The heat in his eyes faded a bit and was replaced by his usual softness. Thalassa nodded in acknowledgement, “Leopold, let’s discuss the specifics of this deal. I initially thought that a one-week deadline was a bit tight, but Ethan assured me that Leossa Electronics worked around the clock, which makes them three times more efficient than other suppliers. It seems we’ll be able to meet the deadline.”
Leopold agreed, “I have full confidence in Leossa Tech’s efficiency.”
Thalassa continued, “If there are no objections, we would require a 30% deposit as per the contract.”
“I’m here to make that deposit,” Leopold answered amiably. He took another sip of his coffee, savoring its taste for a moment before swallowing.
