Chapter 892
Startled, Thalassa quickly steadied herself and told him, “No need, I can manage.”
She hastily headed towards the bathroom, fearful that if she delayed, Lysander would come to carry her.
She was already utterly exhausted and truly drained.
If Lysander were to carry her to the bathroom, she knew what would ensue.
Not even bothering to dress, she endured the tenderness in her lower back and hurriedly made her way to the
bathroom. Once the door was locked behind her, her tense nerves began to ease slightly.
Looking at herself, she couldn’t help but admire her own nerve for being able to walk to the bathroom in front of
Lysander without a stitch of clothing on.
Their relationship had an intimacy that mirrored that of a typical married couple, with nothing hidden between

But to use the word ‘couple’ to describe her and Lysander was a mockery in itself.
Thalassa smirked at her own sarcasm, turned on the shower, and stood under the warm water to wash her body.
She deliberately took her time to take a long shower. When she emerged, the bed was empty; Lysander had
already risen.
Lysander was one to work diligently. He would never neglect his work even if he had failed all the people around
him.
He was so devoted to Sinclair Group. To forsake all kin for the organization’s interests and his business, his
aloofness could reach to the point of ruthlessness.
Dressed in a bathrobe, Thalassa approached the bed and straightened the messy duvet. As she did, she spotted a
stain on the bed.
The remnants of Lysander’s passion from the previous night.
Thinking of the night before, Thalassa’s cheeks instantly flushed.
She quickly stripped the bed sheet and duvet cover, took them to the washing machine, and began a wash cycle.
Afterwards, she returned to the room and picked out a dress from the wardrobe to put on.
As she descended the stairs, she realized that the living room was unusually quiet. She looked around to see what
was going on.
Fitch emerged from the kitchen and upon seeing her looking around, approached her and politely said, “Ms.
Everhart, Lysander has already left. Lunch is served on the dining table. Please help yourself.”
“Lunch?” Thalassa was surprised.
Yes, it’s already half-past three in the afternoon,” Fitch informed Thalassa of the time.
Thalassa gaped in surprise; the word ‘shocked’ wasn’t enough to describe her feeling.

it impossible for her to tell the time.
She had assumed it was still morning, but it was already half-past three in the afternoon.
However, thinking about it, it made sense. Lysander had drained her energy until the wee hours of the night, and a
few hours of sleep was not nearly enough for her to recuperate.
“Where are the kids?” Thalassa asked, breaking out of her daze.
The kids had breakfast in the morning and have gone to school,” Fitch respectfully reported.
Seeing the disappointment in Thalassa’s eyes, Fitch added, “The little ones were looking for their mother first thing
in the morning. They were turned away by Lysander when they tried to go to the bedroom.”
Thalassa felt a pang in her heart. Lysander had turned them away?
She had been sleeping so soundly that she hadn’t realized the children had come to look for her in the room.
She would have definitely gotten up to have breakfast with them if she had been awake.
Fitch hurriedly added, “The kids were about to cry, but then Lysander told them they could see their mother when
they returned from school. Hearing that, they wiped their tears and obediently went to have their meals.”
Hearing that the children were eventually pacified, Thalassa felt a slight relief amid her heartache.
